I'm back after almost six weeks of digital detox – with something very lyrical. 
Hope, you like it. It's different.

Der Weg ist da.

Er ist markiert, ohne markiert zu sein.
Die Linie liegt zwischen den Dingen, die man sieht, und denen, die man übersieht.
Niemand zeigt auf sie, aber viele gehen auf ihr.

Die Menschen stehen hinter Glasfronten, in Küchen, in Büros, an Haltestellen.
Sie wissen, dass es draußen weitergeht, doch sie bleiben, wo sie sind.

Man hat ihnen gesagt, hier sei es sicher.
Man hat ihnen gesagt, es gäbe Zeit.

Er bewegt sich durch die Stadt, ohne Ziel, ohne Eile.
Er ist einfach da – höher als der Lärm, niedriger als die Drohnen.
Manche schauen auf und lächeln, andere drehen sich weg.

Niemand fragt.

In den Schaufenstern spiegeln sich Himmel und Bäume,
Eine Lilie in einem Blumenladen,
Ein Kind, das lacht.

Unter all dem liegt etwas, das niemand benennt.
Es liegt ruhig. Es wartet nicht.

Am Rand der Stadt endet plötzlich die Straße.
Ein Hügel wurde abgetragen, sauber, präzise.
Wo gestern noch Häuser standen, ist heute Sicht.

Man nennt es Fortschritt.

Man nennt es notwendig.

Jetzt kann man sehen, was vorher verdeckt war.

Wasser fällt irgendwo hinter der Absperrung.
Es fällt nicht laut.
Es weiß, was es tut.
Es spielt eine Melodie, die niemand aufnimmt,
Und sammelt sich weiter unten zu etwas Größerem,
Das keinen Namen braucht.

Am Hafen stehen Menschen mit Telefonen in der Hand.
Boote legen ab.
Jemand singt.
Oder es ist nur der Wind in den Drähten.
Man hört etwas.
Nicht laut.
Nicht zwingend.
Aber beharrlich.
Die Strömung nimmt zu.

Ein Körper löst sich aus der Menge,
Wie ein Gedanke, den man nicht mehr festhält.
Kein Drama.
Kein Schrei.
Nur Bewegung.

Das Wasser wird weiter.
Salziger.
Ununterscheidbar.

Und wieder stehen sie da, die Menschen,
In Reihen, in Routinen,
In gut gemeinten Umzäunungen.
Sie wissen, dass es einen Ausgang gibt.
Sie haben ihn gesehen.
Mehrmals.

Manche sagen, jemand werde kommen.
Jemand, der führt.
Andere sagen, es sei schon passiert.

Die Zeit arbeitet leise.
Sie trägt keine Uhr.
Sie schleift Kanten ab,
Löscht Namen,
Verändert Formen,
Bis niemand mehr sagen kann,
Was der Anfang war
Und was die Richtung.

using the moon as a guide
the dark can hinder the way
i seek familiar signs
things Ive known in dreams
this land it beckons me 
and i don't know why
