Anyma, a radical new multidisciplinary digital project from Tale Of Us innovator Matteo Milleri, arrives on Afterlife.

Matteo’s achievements with Tale Of Us need little introduction. Soaring to the highest heights of success, he is now exploring the realm of the metaverse with his hybrid persona, Anyma. The Sentient EP* signals the arrival of this integrative algorithmic consciousness. The title track holds true to the label’s progressive sound, with a percolating low end, emotive synth stabs and moments of deep contemplation. ‘Reminding’ features the wistful vocals of Rosa Anschütz, complemented by the propulsive energy of its bassline and urgent programming. A soaring breakdown takes us into the electrifying second half. ‘Fragments’ takes a more pensive stance, evoking melancholy melodies and deeply sombre tones, encouraging the listener to journey inward. Finally, ‘Omnia’ has that classic Afterlife sound, while offering a glimpse of our technology-driven future. It’s ominous, dark, seductive and designed to transport you into unexplored digital terrain.

This is the second single of Teho s upcoming album, and for this occasion, he joined forces with the highly talented artist Aalson. In this bundle, there are two different tracks but both linked by a same atmosphere and type of sounds. In the first track called Beyond, Teho and Aalson had this vision to go further in their process of production, tried new things, and just do something different than usual. They chose to make a breakbeat and electronica track with catchy vocal chops completed by a powerful main lead while the chords are evolving all along the track. The B-Side track called Nebula is more dancefloor-oriented and darker than "Beyond". Leaded by a strong melody, and surrounded by stretched sounds, Teho and Aalson show their capacity to be versatile in the way they produce music. Completing each other, these two tracks are like two different sides of the same coin.

With an arsenal of stellar music releases already under his belt, Ponty Mython serves up the delicious “Pink Tango” EP for Futureboogie.

Having carved out a reputation for some of the finest cosmic house productions on labels like Omena, Dirt Crew and Quintessentials, the Lithuanian based producer delivers three new cuts on this release, which comes ably backed by a remix from Italian producer Fabrizio Mammarella.

On the title track, Alex Pletnev (Ponty Mython), goes for breezy synths and wandering melodies over a chugging mechanical beat and an FM style bassline, whilst Fabrizio Mammarella (Bear Funk/Les Disques De La Mort) toughens things up slightly on his remix, plunging into a darker sound aesthetic for a great reinterpretation of the original.

On “Time Spiral” an unhurried groove is laced with layer upon layer of meditative synths and percussive rolls for a fat dose of eighties soundtrack vibes, whilst EP closer, “Appreciate It While It's Not Too Late”, settles down to a head-nodding pace with funky bass and key melodies and live drum samples for a real earworm of a track.

Ponty Mython - Time Spiral (FBR057) [clip]

Ponty Mython explores the outer boundaries of meditative synths, wandering melodies and eighties soundtrack vibes as he debuts on Futureboogie Recordings with his "Pink Tango" EP. On the remix front, Italian producer Fabrizio Mammarella slightly toughens things up for the title track, plunging into a darker sound aesthetic and takes us on a psychedelic proto-house excursion with chugging mechanical basslines and spiraling synths.

“Parasite” is about the subconscious, unsettling allure of self destruction within us all. The parasite is the darkness inside that tells us to numb the pain, to self medicate, to run full speed toward instant gratification. This song is about the daily battle we wage inside ourselves against dissociation, addiction, and the forces of annihilation.

Before ending up as a curiously perfect super-collab between the aesthetic minds of frequent co-conspirators AWAY, Roniit, and Crywolf, “Parasite” initially began as an experimental private writing exercise for Roniit. Her goal was to make a song in one night with absolutely no boundaries, standards, or regard for external factors or branding. What came out was raw anger - an emotion rarely heard in the writing or production of Roniit’s typically ethereal music. After hearing the scratch track, AWAY immediately heard the potential and asked to work with it, bringing his mastery of his signature dark and distorted style, quickly developing it into a full track that blew away both of their expectations. Feeling like something was missing from the end, AWAY and Roniit brought in Crywolf, who helped perfect the writing, and jumped in to craft an ending section that takes the last portion of the song into his own dark world, a final plummet into the void.
