As the label celebrates its 10th release, Moon By Day continues to solidify its reputation as a platform for dreamy, downtempo electronica and acoustic beats. At its core, the label showcases music from the heart, inspired from all around the world, and the debut EP from Louis Tobin aka MOONTIDE continues to embody this philosophy. As the EP title suggests, the Melbourne-based producer takes us on a journey of his 27th year, not only emotionally but also physically, with the tracks recorded between Central America and Australia’s Mornington Peninsula. Varied, yet coherent, Tobin explores the boundaries of downtempo electronica with this milestone release for the label.

Opening the EP is the sexy, yet emotive Amore, with its slinky, seductive pace and layers of string samples. With melancholy chords and cinematic crescendos, Broken is a high-energy, breakbeat- influenced cut, conveying a range of complex emotions. Lolite is both beautiful and driving with its heartbeat-esque rhythm and dramatic vocal samples. Both meditative and slightly eerie, The Only Wanderers is somewhat of a nod to the producer’s spirituality with its pulsating percussion and layered instrument samples from the didgeridoo through to the sitar.

The winter solstice marks a very special and spiritually important time of the year. Nature itself is asking us all to become more silent... to slow down... to rest. Animals go into hibernation and we as humans enjoy the sheltered comfort of our homes with a hot tea and a warm blanket.Winter is a time of darkness. The winter solstice marks the time where the days get shorter and the nights become longer. So there will be less light outside which in turn invites us to seek and find more light within. This time allows us to go deep within and to reflect upon the past and also connect with dreams and visions for the year to come. It's a great time for meditation and prayer to let go and relax.

Tranquillitas was the goddess and personification of tranquility, security and peace. 
and can be translated into „calmness“ , peacefullness and a state of security and ease.

To support you in this process of introspection and meditation we have invited old and new friends to share their unique approach on this idea. Coalescence is a journey into the collaborative efforts of friends from around the world. This EP was born in Bali from producers J.Pool and Aleceo who met there and found an affinity with sound medicine man and Sacred World Music producer Kailash Kokopelli. These two up and coming talented producers incorporated the magical sound tapestries of Hernan Suarez, Alunawachuma, Tatyana Kalmykova, and Kama Lila Sol. This rich offering is the fruit of a collaborative effort of all of these musicians bringing their own essence into the project. It is a puzzle which came together with each piece fitting perfectly with the other to create a journey into the heart and grooves to move the body into ecstasy. Coalescence is a testament of coming together to compliment each other as a unity - a body of music which thrives on the strengths of each independent artist complimenting the other. It is perfectly in alignment with the intentions of the label Resueño - to come together to create something special which alone would be impossible.
