First up on the fresh Amsterdam-based label Late Night Burners is Kurley’s debut “Feelings EP”. For this young and very talented musician anything goes, as long as it’s unique, warm, rhythmic, and raw, and this five tracker perfectly showcases this ethos.

From the uplifting, acid-driven title track, we dive straight into “Heartbeat”, taking us a level deeper. On the B-side Kurley starts off with the stabby, slightly melancholic “Long Time” while never losing the floor out of sight, preparing us for the vocoder-infused killer “Groove All Night”. Closing off the EP is “Tribute”, bringing a more exotic type of heat. In short: a lot to love.

Katerina from Helsinki - Finland via Sofia - Bulgaria is a passionate music lover, a skillful DJ, an imaginative music maker and an emotional and hyper sensitive artist. She produces music that is essential and timeless, tracks that feel necessary in your life once they have entered it.
Katerina has already contributed to the ever growing, always radical and forward thinking catalogue of the Cómeme music collective, with tracks on the compilations “Solidarity Forever” Vol. 1 and 3. She also hosts a show on radio Cómeme called Radio Emotsiya, in which she generously shares her broad musical knowledge and her very particular musical obsessions, for instance her steady – and in our opinion very understandable - veneration of DJ Quik.
And yes, her music breathes the emotionality of Hip Hop, the sensitivity of well placed, swinging beats, and that steady survival mode, that essential melancholy in dance music: where melodies tell about love and longing, and rhythms help you to keep going on. “Just when you thought it was over”, here we go again, it’s another day on planet Emotsiya, from where Katerina sends us reports about her adventures, always sided by her already legendary white cat Nöpö:

Following his solo 12" debut in November on AC Records, Armec returns with a 4-track EP on Echocentric Records.

The music on offer is rich and emotional - enter microworlds of subtle melodies, pads and sci-fi drones that ooze both melancholy and hope, and will appeal to anyone into electro, IDM and techno.

A-side is a nod to Robbie's IDM roots. Just check the expansive soaring synth-work on "Auden" and the analogue moods of "Conceptualise". The droney, murky & dystopian sci-fi soundscapes of side B offer another view into Armec's production work.

Keep an eye out for Armec in 2020, more quality releases on their way.

The patterns weaved and meandered before his very eyes, they were hypnotic and cast a spell upon his train of thought and vision. Conceptually they were stunning but beneath the glow of his frazzled mind and the substances which danced a merry jig amidst his chemicals he was lost in a maze of wandering lines and blurry dots. It was going to be a long night as he marched between rooms whilst the drums rumbled and banged in his ears, he cast a glimpse outwards onto the floor and began to move. 

Armec is set to release a new EP on Echocentric Records, an EP which is provocative and thoughtful. It channels elements of space and IDM, with agile sound design and intricate angular electronics.

Delsin turns its attention to the archives of one of the great early pioneers of Dutch techno – Eevo Lute Muzique. The label was founded in 1991 by Wladimir Manshanden and Stefan Robbers (who was already recording seminal early techno records as Terrace for Djax-Up-Beats). Channeling the inspiration of the Detroit originators and mixing it up with their own synth pop and new wave influences, Manshanden and Robbers (adopting the Florence alias) forged a bold aesthetic with Eevo Lute, both musically and visually. This was an early iteration of techno as listening music, with an emphasis on expression and narrative over dancefloor functionality, helped in no small part by Manshanden’s striking poetry. This double set of remastered, reissued tracks gathers together the earliest Florence and Wladimir M. material, largely recorded between 1991 and 1994, across five discs – the definitive document of a treasured piece of Dutch techno history.
