This playlist of soon-to-be released* material will give you a great sense of my songwriting and versatility. Each song represents who I am and what I stand for very well. 

All the lyrics/vocal arrangements on both EP's have either been entirely written by me or co-written with Montreal composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Christopher Cargnello. 

L'UNIVERS EST À MOI is the first EP I am going to be releasing soon with the help of an indie label based in Montreal. This project is entirely in French. Composition/Production by Aiza Ntibarikure & Christopher Cargnello.

Aiza is an Afro-bop queen steadily building her empire. Her live performances are filled with explosive, positive energy and her uplifting, playful lyrics spark comparisons to other badass trailblazing women such as Lizzo and Janelle Monáe.

In 2022, while providing the finishing touches to a body of new music written during the pandemic, Aiza also produced, wrote, directed, and co-hosted the series Real Blackity Talk for CBC Gem with her sister Kamana, celebrating the perspectives and experiences of Black women and non-binary Black people in Canada. It won “Series of The Year” at the 7th annual Dynasty Gala, and received a nomination for “Best Host, Web Program or Series” at the 2023 Canadian Screen Awards.

Aiza’s first single of 2023 “Cocoa Butter” is a pampering, pre-party pep talk, with a darkly playful energy that channels Aiza’s desire to get a little debaucherous during a stressful time. After all, what’s life without a celebration?
