Description: "Hold onto that Dream"  {dedicated to Ralf and his family) 

This song was created after a  long talk between Megan and John, and it motivated Megan to compose this piece. 
She then asked John to produce it and enhance the sound quality. 
While he was doing this, they both also decided that this song would sound richer and more beautiful with an orchestral movement within. 
When this was started, the emotions felt strong to be relevant to all dreams, lost dreams and to encourage all to hold onto those dreams.  
More importantly, it was also decided to  specifically dedicate this song to Ralf (band member of Euphoriqa) and his family, to support them during a time of great trouble, grief and loss; a time where the risk of losing a dream can be real. 
We all either know or can imagine how much it hurts to lose someone special, because we feel and know it too, and for two people to have both each other's suffering and strength, yet feeling helpless, they must hold onto that (their) dream, for her, for him, and together. 
Life can deal cruel blows to the most beautiful of people, yet we struggle on and strong emotions need to be felt and shared, and to be let out. It is then that the soul, two souls, can be soothed .. and the dreams carry on, and we hold on and we can gradually be free. 
Sometimes such despair and encouragement can only be felt and understood through the emotions of music.

Smitten

I originally composed/recorded this music years ago (later adding electric guitar tracks) to go with the traditional folk ballad 'Proud Lady Margaret', but later decided to use a song of my own to fit to it; thus this alternative version of 'The Maidens of the Deep', quite different than the version that is on the 'North Sea' album.  This somewhat sensual song is about sirens or mermaids in lore and legend.  There are countless tales, songs, poems, and paintings about these fantastical, imaginary creatures who would lure and entice sailors, by their beauty and sweet singing,  to their doom.  In this song, the man in question appears to happily plunge himself into the danger.  Nothing good will come of it...
