Now this one is special for us: Strobocop aka Thorsten Lütz is the head honcho of the Karaoke Kalk label. And the records Thorsten put out at the turn of the century in Cologne were a big influence for us in starting our own label Pingipung. We are thinking about artists such as Wunder / Wechsel Garland, März, Takagi Masakatsu, Fumble / Kandis, Donna Regina or Hausmeister. 

And Karaoke Kalk still releases lovely records today by artists as diverse as Rolf Hansen, Mimsy, Golden Diskó Ship or The National Jazz Trio of Scotland. Thank you Thorsten. For your influence and this beautiful mix.

“Looking back at almost 30 years of nightlife, I wouldn’t want to miss anything I have experienced, because it got me to where I am right now. 
I have traveled trough different styles – house, break beats, drum and bass, techno, jazz... because music has no boundaries.”

As a daughter of a Swiss mother and a Ghanaian father, Ajele was born and raised in Switzerland, where, at the age of eighteen, she got introduced to the electronic music scene. Soon she realized there were hardly any female DJs. Now that was something she strived to change! The decision was made and the first records, decks and a mixer were bought. Vinyl shopping became an addiction and playing them a passion. 

Since 1996 she’s an inherent part of Zurich’s electronic music scene and her versatile and solid music style has given her many opportunities to open the night.
