Resurrect Myself

This is a song I created with a good friend of mine at work. We work the opposite shift, but we always run into each other. We had an immediate connection and the lyrics I wrote matched up almost perfectly with what he wanted to do with the song. We hope to do more and start recording stuff together but it's been really tough with life. Life gets so busy sometimes, and you just gotta keep rolling with the punches.

Wish I could control these emotions but my mind is over flowin, I keep grasping at these feelings, but life just keeps on stealing, them away, wish they would stay, but now the mood has altered, and I might have faltered, but we all know that like the setting sun, that one day the change is gonna come.

Feelings fleeting fast, tried to make it last in a second ripped outta my grasp, now I’m mad Thinkin bout what I had and It’s so sad, my bad, go ahead and laugh, trying everything just to get back on track

Got myself in a pickle, but no it don’t tickle, it’s making me brittle watching these tears trickle man I’m being so fickle, sick of feelin so little, life is such a riddle, maybe I’m the one who’s artificial.

is that maybe It comes so naturally because you casually be interrupting me, disrespecting me and I just take it see. Sadly, I can’t seem to find the seam to patch up These feelings takin me places I don’t wanna be. 

Livin life on the edge livin dangerously Truthfully that’s the thing that twists these thoughts together, the toxic traits that took to and tethered. So interconnected. It’s Like I’m plugged into your hard drive and to feel alive 

I kept it encrypted inside, so you can’t disconnect it. Maybe I’m the virus, but in spite of this, I find bliss in your lips. A simple kiss to save all of this. But watch out for the twist

moods start flippin, I start slippin, give in to sippin, bottles I’m rippin, constantly sinnin, if only I’d listen, that ain’t really livin, gotta ask to be forgiven. Cuz it’s not all about the liquor or the women.

How you be feelin, life keeps on dealin, demons be appealing, you’re hooked and they’re reeling, so good at concealing, always double dealing, but watch out it’s your soul they be stealin.
