TIP Record's DJ/Producer Lucas O'Brien is back with the sequel to his highly acclaimed, chart-topping compilation 'Avant Garden' (2015) which features a selection of tried and tested sonically diverse tracks by some of his favourite artists that he's been playing in his DJ sets worldwide. For this project, Lucas sourced music from what he considers the most cutting edge, pioneering producers on the scene - Hallucinogen, Raja Ram, Ingrained Instincts, Outsiders, Laughing Buddha, Martian Arts, Earthspace, Audio Unit and Everblast - as well as being substantially involved in the production side himself under his various guises: 'SuperModule' (his solo project), 'Mandelbrot' (his project with Celli 'Earthling') and 'Sybarite' his project with Ric Featherstone. The compilation begins with one of Lucas' trademark introductions, once again collaborating with label founder Raja Ram. Designed to tickle the eardrums and get your body moving, Avant Garden II represents the flow of a psychedelic trance dance party by kicking off with a slower and groovier vibe, then building up the pace and intensity steadily as the album progresses... eventually reaching a more night-time style peak, whilst still keeping Lucas' characteristic funky element in the tunes. Towards the end of the album, the music transitions into a more dawn friendly style to land you safely onto a blissful cloud of psychedelia. As was the case with the first Avant Garden, Lucas used the exquisite artwork of TIP favourite visionary artist Brahma Templeman, this time commissioning a painting exclusively for the cover which illustrates a beautiful psychedelic garden. Looney Moon is back again, this time with Russian producer PANTOMIMAN, who has a very special and colourful tale – read his story below and tune in on the Trance channel on Wednesday afternoon.

Pantomiman is George Agaronov (or Gosha for short), a Russian psytrance producer with some extra flavour on top – he is a professional comic actor who comes from a family of circus comedy performers! Early in his childhood years Gosha began playing musical instruments, performing on stage and later composing his parts for a circus band. When Gosha was a teenager he discovered electronic music and a bit later towards the late nineties Gosha discovered something that felt very natural to him – psychedelic trance. Since then Gosha has been developing and working on his own sound, partly with an expert guidance from Alex Parasense. The past few years Pantomiman has spent DJ’ing and playing live around Russia entertaining crowds with his very special and very funny musical shows. Needless to say Pantomiman’s music is a psychedelic circus act in itself. Sometimes more aggressive and twisted, sometimes more nostalgic and funky music by Pantomiman never fails to surprise and excite. Pantomiman’s groovy bass lines and comical themes make people dance and laugh at the same time, while of course his skilful sound synthesis guarantees that a trip will be adventurous, joyful and amusing.
Pantomiman’s tracks have been taken for releases by such quality labels as Bom shanka music, Doof Records, Sundance, Up Records, Space Baby rec, Macky Mad House Records and Blitz Studios. At present he is working with the Looney moon records! Pantomiman is without a doubt the most original and unique psytrance producer in Russia and possibly even the rest of the world.

Ajja is an eclectic and multi-talented Swiss artist who channels his creativity through parallel careers as musician, producer, label manager, graphic artist, software developer and painter.

Ajja played his first big psychedelic trance gathering in December 2002 on the main stage of the Outback Eclipse Festival in Australia, during a full solar eclipse.

In 2005, Ajja started a solo project under his own name. He quickly became known for delivering groovy psychedelic trance, crossing genres to attract people from a broad range of styles. His debut studio album “Psychogenica” was released  in 2007 on Syncronize Records, followed by “Tulpa” in 2012 on Peak Records and the mid-tempo album “Spira Mirabilis” in 2017 on T.I.P. Records.

Since 2006, Ajja has released over a hundred songs under various names, including many collaborations with other well-known musicians and producers, spanning a wide range of styles.

Although he has regularly performed at major events around the world and is used to a heavy touring schedule, he still enjoys small, intimate parties and clubs just as much.

An energetic, enthusiastic and gifted being, Ajja is an artist not to be missed!
