Based in Berlin, DJ, curator, queer-activist, Ipek Ipekcioglu produces an extraordinary warm, dynamic and organic interpretation of electronic music melted with the melodramatic sound of Anatolia/Mesopotamia, Turkey, Orient & the Middle East. 
Ipek Ipekcioglu received German Record Critics' Award for her Beyond Istanbul Albums @ Trikont and was named as a musical and political "visionary" by the Süddeutsche Zeitung. and cited as a representative for “ideologically blinker-free living” by Rolling Stone Magazine. 
The socialy- critical minded producer is an activist and member of female: pressure network and has a strong social-critical agenda related to women, immigrant, queer and gender topics which she transports into her productions. Ipek has been pushing boundaries within the ethnic & electronic music scene and communities for over two decades. This vibrant mix and her work have earned her a place as “one of Berlin’s most important cultural contributors” [Zitty Magazine]. She proudly carries the title of "MC of cross-cultural understanding" (Daniel Bax - TAZ).
Ipek has performed at Glastonburry, Fusion, Sziget, Garbicz, At. tension, Ms Dockville, Womex and many more international electronic and world music festivals from New York City, Beirut, Erbil, Yerevan, Marseille, Los Angeles, Salvador de Bahia, Cairo, Sana’a, Istanbul, Seoul, Novosibirsk to the desert Sahara of Mali, developing an exclusive brand name with her unique & hybrid Sound mix. She has toured throughout, China, Siberia, Japan and the US.

► At 2009, at the age of 14, he produced his first beats and recorded his first records. Just in 2 years of time, he collaborated as a beatmaker with Exxis & Keişan & Caro Fibonacci and worked as a mixing engineer for a track of Fuchs (of Nefret). After working with Buura, he improved his mixing skills as well. Until the age of 18, he gave 5 live rap performances which he was intensely admired and praised.

► At 2012, produced Murathan Demiris' debut album 'Dekadans EP'. Same year, performed in underground hiphop parties and drew attention.

► At 2013, 'Başıbozuk Remix' was chosen by @sakulta among many other remixes to his album 'Başıbozuk 2'!

► At 2015, initiated on Soundcloud due to Myspace's collapse. First instrumentals; 'Muhalif olmak iyidir' received an amazing feedback from public. Triphop Turkiye, Bant Mag, Rave Mag and some more music magazines mentioned. 'İyileri Öldüren Dünya', 'Biz Adaletliyiz' and 'Strange' appeared in several underground compilation albums.

► Became one of initatiors of an underground music label called 'Snatchers' and contributed heavily in creating a collective mind set with 4 compilation albums connecting many talented producers from Turkey to the World.

► 'Karşı Ki Aşiretten Bir Kıza Gönül Verdim' has been played on @BBCRadioWales at 18.06.2016! Represented turkish music with a style oriented at hiphop, made appeareance on bbc radio. in wales and uk streamed in national radio. 

► BBC Radio for the 2nd time ! :) 'İyileri Öldüren Dünya' has been played on Georgia Ruth Williams' show @BBCRadioCymru at 30.08.2016! Welsh region radio played the remix I made for Selda Bagcan's amazing music in respect to her name. @gruffsion

► At 2017 March, worked with Welsh experimental folk music band @Wermod for their remix album 'Cario Clecs A Phryd O Geg (Hand me Down Compositions), created 'The End of the World' and got positive critics from Shindig Magazine.

► BBC Radio for the 3rd time ! 'Kazanacağız' has been played on Georgia Ruth Williams' show @BBCRadioCymru at 25.04.2017! Song have been attributed to Yılmaz Güney's memory who was an influental anarchist artist expressed his ideas in his works.

► At 2017 summer, 'Adam Olmaya Çeyrek Kala' has been used by Hilary Mertaugh (@3hilary-3) in her beautiful mix/podcast 'Solstice' (https://soundcloud.com/cosmotechmusic/cosmopods15-solstice-by-hilary-mertaugh), released by CosmoTechMusic (@cosmotechmusic).

►At February 2018, his collaboration with a Welsh experimental music band @Wermod, played on radio. Remix of 'fan hyd fan draw'; 'The End of The World' appeared in @inthevoidsound magazine February 2018 playlist.

► After moving to Leipzig at the end of 2018, he learned German and grasped the city's rising art scene, worked in an independent theatre, worked with many talented artists of all sorts. After some travels, he moved back to Wales, where he released his first LP; 'Muhalif' at 12.12.2019! Collection of tracks which he combined Anatolian Folk with Hiphop/Disco Folk/Electronic.

►Back on @BBCRadioCymru with 13th track of 'Muhalif', 'Emek' at 04.02.2020.

►At 2020 March, went to France, Locronan and worked for a festival-award winning movie named 'Kan Ar Mor' with 'Pierre-André Le Leuch; which tells the story of a Celtic myth and won 'Best Soundtrack Award' at the 'Indie Filmmaker Festival of California' !

►During Covid-1984 pandemic went on an inner journey, in seek of more depth in awareness. Which of course, affected, transformed musical ideas and the expression form. Constantly improved his producing and music engineering skills. Added triphop and acid house to his genres proudly. Discovered other realms of existence.

► After surviving attacks from couple of demons, health issues became more imminent to take care. While dealing with that, due to his father's passing away at 2023 August, he entered to a period of grief which he hopes to grow around.
