Based in Osaka since the 1990s and active both in Japan and abroad, YAMA, renowned for captivating dance floors with her unwavering groove, turns her focus away from her primary terrain of house and techno to explore another facet of her sound, pursuing a neutral sense of comfort that resists excessive elevation or intensity.

I often have the chance to play not only dance music but also electronic music and jazz, and for this mix I blended in records I’ve been playing frequently lately, selecting them with a sense of neutral comfort in mind, not too deep, not too intense, not overly elevating...

I’d be happy if it feels comfortable to listen to in any season and at any time of day.

90年代から大阪を拠点に国内外で活動を広げ、確かなグルーヴでフロアを魅了してきたYAMAが、主戦場とも言えるハウス／テクノとは異なる側面にフォーカスし、過度に高揚へと傾かないニュートラルな心地良さを追求する。

ダンスミュージック以外にもエレクトロニックミュージックやジャズをプレイする機会もあり、最近よくかけているレコードも織り交ぜて、深すぎず強すぎず高揚しすぎず、、ニュートラルな居心地の良さを意識して選曲しました。

どの季節にもどんな時間帯でも、心地よく聴いてもらえたら嬉しいです。

Based in Osaka and performing in Tokyo and across Japan, YAMA is highly regarded for her ability to lock in the floor with a steady, unwavering groove.

She has appeared at numerous outdoor parties and in recent years has expanded her activities internationally, playing extensively within Asia’s underground scene.

Last year, she performed at WONDERFRUIT in Thailand and fabric in London, achieving notable success.

While she primarily plays dance music such as house and techno, the style of the parties she appears at varies widely, and her selections also extend to experimental music and jazz.

She moves freely across genres, constructing her sets with a boundless and dynamic approach.

大阪を拠点に東京他日本の各地でもプレイしているYAMAは、安定のグルーヴ感でフロアをロックするその技が高く評価さている。

野外パーティにも数多く出演。近年は国外へも活動を広げ、アジアのアンダーグラウンドシーンでのプレイも数々で、昨年はタイ「WONDERFRUIT」、ロンドン「fabric」にも出演し大成果を上げた。

ハウス、テクノといったダンスミュージックを主に、その他出演するパーティのスタイルは様々で、エクスペリメンタル、ジャズ等の選曲もする。

ジャンルを飛び越え縦横無尽に構築していく。

SAKUMAは、優れた洞察力で変化する空間と時間の流れを巧みに掌握し、セットを通じて独自性の高いストーリーを描くDJである。緻密なミキシングで音のグラデーションを活かしながら、時に躍動感あふれるアプローチを織り込み、フロアの焦点をひとつに整えていく腕前は国内でも随一。この揺るぎないスキルは、様々な環境下でプレイしてきた経験によって会得したものである。
地元・新潟でキャリアを始め、2015年以降は東京を拠点とし、主宰パーティー 『Modest』は彼の存在感を示す大きな因子であり、他とは一線を画するそのセンスは、東京を代表するDJとして厚い信頼を得ている。

SAKUMA skillfully grasps the changing flow of space and time with excellent insight, unfolding a highly distinctive story throughout the set.
His meticulous mixing utilizes the gradient of sounds, incorporating dynamic approaches at times to align the focus of the dance floor, making him one of the best in the domestic scene. His unwavering skill is acquired through experiences gained from playing in various environments.
He began his career in his hometown of Niigata and has been based in Tokyo since 2015. His flagship party, ‘Modest,’ has been a major factor in establishing his presence. His distinctive sense, setting him apart from others, has earned him deep trust as one of Tokyo's leading DJs.
