After having spun his way into our ears through numerous sets across various podcasts in recent years, we're delighted to welcome the equally energetic and affable Swiss artist @aka_tony, to our esteemed lineup.

For the fourth time in two years time, Hekske (the little witch) and Falke (the 10-year old witch apprentice) flew eastwards, all the way to the mighty Dnipro river. It was early April and the temperatures were very mild and pleasant. Then they saw their friend Mriya (Мрія) waving at them in the middle of a flowery meadow. Mriya was 14 years old now, and she had grown a lot since their last visit. To Hekske and Falke’s surprise, Mriya greeted them with 3 kisses on the cheek, and wished them a happy Easter. She proudly showed them her easter basket, which was made from willow branches and covered with a white towel, which was beautifully embroidered in yellow and blue patterns. Mriya explained that this towel was made by her great-grandmother over 100 years ago. She explained that she was expecting visitors from all over Ukraine. Soon afterwards, another witch arrived and they all welcomed her with 3 kisses on her cheek. Her name was Vesna and she came from the woods around Mount Hoverla in the west. She had brought some small bottles with colorful dyes : violet from the bark of an elderberry bush, yellow from the flowers of the woadwaxen, gold from onion skins, etc..
Soon afterwards, another witch arrived from the east. She had flown all the way from the scenic valley of the Oskil river.  A little later, another witch flew in from the north but after that it was a long wait for the witch of the South. Finally, a young witch flew by and gently landed on the fairy meadow. She had come all the way from the Valley of Ghosts. And she was not alone as she was accompanied by a sweet-looking animal. The witches were elated when they realized this was the raccoon which was stolen from this area some 1,5 years ago. The lively animal was very happy to be back home again, and soon the raccoon was frolicking with all the witches, and rolling over from joy.
Now that all witches had arrived, Mriya put some eggs on the table while Vesna opened the bottles with the colorful dyes. The local witches knew exactly what to do, applying hot wax on the eggs before scrathing and dying them in elaborate colorful patterns. Many of these patterns had been passed on from witch to witch for centuries. These decorated eggs were called ‘pysanky’.
Vidma, the witch from the northern plains had another method to decorate the eggs, which she did by coating eggs with bee wax and covering them with beads in vivid colorful patterns. This kind of easter eggs were called ‘biserky’.
Hekske and Falke truly enjoyed the typically Slavic cosy atmosphere of the Easter celebrations. And after nightfall, they lit a bonfire, sang spellbinding age-old witch’s songs and they performed folk dances around the fire until well past midnight. 
This was easily the cosiest Easter Hekske and Falke had ever experienced…

The year 2022 marked a pivotal moment for Allies For Everyone, as he unleashed his debut album, leaving an indelible mark on the musical landscape. The album soared to the zenith of charts in deep house, progressive house, electronica, indie dance, melodic house, techno, and downtempo, showcasing the artist's versatility and mastery across genres.

On an island in the Atlantic, surrounded by sunshine and among banana plants, we find Thiemo today as well. Because the allure of the sun not only caused the bananas to grow in its direction, but also Thiemo followed it. Just like bananas, which consist of various structures, he conjures a symbiosis behind the decks of diversity. His set is full of sunny greetings, good vibes, and an energy that makes joy and love grow within us.

Wuza Waves #087 - Thiemo - plátanos

After a seemingly endless flight in Eastern direction over hills and valleys, Hekske (the little witch) and Falke (the 10 year-old witch apprentice) arrived in the Mátra mountains in northern Hungary.  The girls sensed that they had reached their destination, and gently touched down near the edge of a vast forest near the top of a hill.  From this vantage point, they had a breathtaking view over the rolling hills and great plains of Hungary.
A few minutes later, 7 elves came out of the woods and gave a warm welcome to their visitors.  They explained that the Nagyboldogasszony was waiting for them.  The 2 witches had never heard from this creature, so the elves explained that she is a goddess who lives for over 4000 years in this area, and she is the mother goddess and protectress of all beings in her realm.
The witches realized that they were not going to participate in a witch coven, but in something much bigger.  The deeper they moved into the forest, the more they became aware of the strong divine energy of this place, and they felt this wholesome energy permeate inside their body and soul.  On the way to the Nagyboldogasszony, they passed through 7 gates, and after crossing each gate, the energy got more intense, while their pace got slower and slower.  Finally, after passing through the seventh gate, both girls finally saw the sleeping goddess, bathing in light and radiating pure goodness.  She was easily the most impressive creature they had ever seen, even when sleeping.  It took a few minutes to get used to all these strong energies, after which they realized they stood in the middle of a witch’s ring of mushrooms … a true power spot. However, the circle was not fully round as it got interrupted by the forest path, which the witches found a pity at first. 
Meanwhile the sun had already set and the forest was darkening quickly. The Nagyboldogasszony was sleeping so peacefully, that the witches got engulfed by a wave of serenity they had never felt before. Hekske and Falke spontaneously turned to each other in the middle of the witch’s ring, and – without saying a single word - laid their right hand on the other girl’s chest. Hekske immediately felt a strong energy running from her heart through her arm and flowing into Falke’s body. And she also felt a strong and warm energy entering her heart through Falke’s hand. This flow of energy gradually became stronger, until she saw Falke’s beating heart glowing up in pink from underneath her immaculately white dress. And in Falke’s blue eyes, she could see the reflection of her own heart glowing up in a stunning shade of pink. And as if by magic, the little mushrooms in the witches ring also started to emit a soft pink glow which travelled lazily in counterclockwise direction along the ring of mushrooms. This energy got stronger and stronger until Hekske and Falke simultaneously sang the words ‘Veled Egy Vagyok’. Despite not speaking a single word of Hungarian, they immediately understood the meaning ‘I Am One With You’. Meanwhile the forest had become very dark, until a near full moon rose over the Southeastern sky, which made the imperfect witch’s ring glow up even more. Then Hekske understood the parallels … the near-full moon, the near-round witch’s ring…
The girls gradually lost all sense of space and time, and when they opened their eyes, the forest was full of little lights. Or were they floating in space, in the middle of the stars in the soothing yet energizing company of the Nagyboldogasszony? Only time would tell …

In 2019, baby-g’s burning daydream of commanding her own dance floor left her no option but to take a chance. Her story blends an obsession with eclectic sounds, a previous life as a trained dancer, and desire to connect. In her music, a story of determination and scratching away can be heard - it’s music that hits the spot. 
 
Today, she’s tucked into the depths of Brooklyn’s underground spaces, co-created the enigmatic DJ collective Liminal, and delved into production, with a few demo tracks in the works. baby-g has not only carved her own niche in respected spots like the Onyx room, Elsewhere, and Silo, but her efforts also continue to strengthen the local scene through collaborations or mentoring aspiring DJs.
 
While some DJs offer escapism, baby-g’s music is for the here and now. With her confident, smooth brushes of groove, throbbing patterns of rhythm mixed with sassy vocals, her music demands attention. baby-g sways between a mix of styles such as minimal, peak time/driving, indie dance, and ketapop, but she is consistent in holding mood. A mood that carries unmistakable coolness, yet an inviting social experience to connect, bounce, and jam together. 

It seems that as long as baby-g keeps dreaming, the rhythm of her journey is equally worth moving along to, just as much as her dance floors.
