In mysterious ways, paths from the past sometimes cross once again, leading to wonderful outcomes. Such is the case here, as we are thrilled to welcome our longtime companion, Maxi aka @kerosino, to our label for his upcoming EP.

His dark, midtempo-leaning sound perfectly suits the gloomy season and had us convinced from the very first listen. The two original tracks are complemented by equally compelling remixes from @air_horse_one, @richardelcox, and @matijasound.

We're delighted that this release has come to fruition and hope you enjoy it thoroughly. As always, the artwork has been contributed by our graphic wizard, Kilian Van de Water.

Ōme is a Mexican musician, DJ, producer and sound designer, founder of “Mexiko collective”. He dedicates his life to sound production and design for film, performance and advertising. 

Kris Berle has been part of the electronic music scene for over 10  years. 
She believes music should be appreciated in different ways and the broad spectrum of  genres existing worldwide has allowed her to explore different fields both as a Dj and  producer.

Dissonance is a collaboration created in Mexico City between Kris and Ōme’s studio where they played with their different instruments. The sound they created together brought distinctive melodies that ended up in dissonant frequencies that somehow were pleasant to the ear. “It is the interplay between consonance and dissonance that makes music enjoyable to listen to.”

La Forastería is a musical tribe from Argentina led by multi-instrumentalist producer Tuto Petruzzi and singer Toni Volpen. They combine electronic bases with live instruments, developing a modern sound with an organic soul. His music plunges into a mystical and transformative journey, where Afro/Latin American root rhythms are intertwined with tribal melodies and ancestral voices, inviting us to enter a sacred space and habit the present moment. Brian Schmitt is a Sacramento-based designer, artist, DJ, and family man. He started DJing in the early 2000s, playing at San Francisco warehouse parties and Burning Man. After a long hiatus from playing music, the pandemic afforded him extra time to dive deep into it again. His sets focus on slower tempos and deep melodic beats. ॐ//om -The great primordial sound, the original sound from which the universe was created, the sound of all sounds together. According to Hindu metaphysics everything is made of sounds (vibrations), since everything is sound, healing through it, is an ancient ritual, as sound is not only heard through our ears but vibrates within every cell of our bodies.

kosha (Sanskrit कोश, IAST: kośa), usually rendered "sheath", the covering of the Atman, or Self. 

kośa is a soundsmith, the alter ego of Tarun Jakhodia, he brings you a flavour mixing - downtempo, acid house, minimal//deep-tech ranging from 80 to 120 bpm, electronic yet organic tunes, deep hypnotic meditative grooves and solid kicks infused with Indian, Arabic and other Ethnic influences which we beautifully term 'spiritual deeptech' a genre coined by kośa, rooted in the deepest part of India's underground scene.

For us at kosa records this network gives space to connect ideas of various forms to do art for art's sake - not for social recognition. to break the rules of systematic exploitation of the artist's energy and to feel the soul in synchonicity.
there are no limits, as there is no mind. 

We consumed too much music and it started to leak and this is when kośa evolved into a record label in January 2019 with the release of their first various artists compilation Mīmāṃsā, though the real beginnings were with our Podcast series the raga saga https://soundcloud.com/kosamusica/sets/the-raga-saga where in we showcase an hour of beautiful music from our favorite artists from around the world.

33% of all proceeds are donated to Mountain Village Foundation that aims at educating the underprivileged women and children in the northern parts of India.
