Astrid Øster Mortensen is a Denmark-born, Sweden-based experimentalist and musician, and is responsible for some of the most beautiful music around. This includes last year's Gro Mig En Blomst LP, and her recent work for Skærgårdslyd [Discreet Music], both rough-hewn and deeply personal albums created in the Gothenburg archipelago. She shares a hushed and haunting full of work from Scandinavian contemporaries.

Jamming With Malzof returns for Ep. 2 with music released by Chicago-based label Guidance Recordings. The label was active from 1996-2004, with a few recently restored archives from Callisto/DKMA z”l. The label had a focus on Deep House & many other genres, including a cultivation of “lounge” and atmospheric. All tracks shared are from Guidance, except for one track “Day Dreaming” played by one of the original label founders, Spencer Kincy/Gemini, who quickly left the label and released music elsewhere, such as on Peacefrog due to sonic and other differences.

Jamming With Malzof Radio is an exploration of and tribute to dance music labels & artists releasing tracks from the 80s to the early aughts. Jamming With Malzof radio will hone in on a specific label, affiliated artists and their musical connections, sharing some of the context for the music and insights from your host @JMALLisART (ig/twitter) @Malzof (soundcloud)
