Lovers! This set was recorded on a great night with @tipping-point-music at @kater_blau in April 25. That night I felt like playing a particularly trippy and hypnotizing journey. Thank you for trusting me with this! 💖 Thanks a lot to the super sweet Kater and Tipping Point crew - and to @kon-faber who sent me their brand new remix “I Need You” by Hrag Mikkel right before the set. Judging by the audience's reaction, it's a gem 💎

 "Bauchkribbeln begleitet von übermäßig vielen Wetter-App Checks zwei Wochen vor dem ECHO. Alles war ungewiss bis am Dienstagabend (4 Tage vor dem Event) die Wetterprognose dann grünes Licht aufzeigte. Einziger Gedanke: ...bitte behält die Prognose dieses Mal Recht 😅. 
Samstagmittag um kurz nach 12 Uhr - also fast pünktlich - löste sich der Nebel im Tennengebirge auf. Woohoo...alles bangen um mieses Wetter war spätestens jetzt verpufft. Time to let the music do its magic!
Zu unserer Überraschung trudelten viele Herzensmenschen - viel früher als erwartet - auf der Söldenhütte ein und das Opening entwickelte sich zu einer kunterbunten Reise auf 1.500 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel. Das Gaspedal wurde behutsam, energetisch und stetig von 100 auf 109.9 BPM hochgefahren. Das war wirklich eine Riesen-Freude mit euch allen 🙏🌞⛰️❤️!"

Aus dem Herzen Hessens begrüßen wir diesmal Timon, besser bekannt als The Juice. Dieser steht für positive Vibes, ansteckende Lebensfreude und eine musikalische Reise, die gerade erst beginnt.

Wer ihn kennt, weiß: Timon ist ein durch und durch positiver Mensch. Sein Lachen ist so ehrlich wie seine Musik – und beides wirkt lange nach. Mit seinem offenen Wesen und einer spürbaren Leidenschaft für Downtempo zieht er Menschen an, begeistert und verbindet.

In diesem Jahr darf er sich auf besondere Meilensteine freuen: Auf Festivals wie dem CoSy und dem Eulenfestival wird er seine ersten großen Gigs spielen – begleitet von einem Teil der Spulenigelbande, die natürlich mit am Start ist, um gemeinsam neue Kapitel aufzuschlagen.

Doch das ist erst der Anfang. Seine Sets sind nicht nur Sound, sondern Gefühl – eine Einladung, sich treiben zu lassen, zu tanzen, zu lächeln. Today, sophya takes us on an extremely slow but very groovy journey through the world of downtempo electronic music. There's something of 2005 about it, but nothing oldschool here. Quite the opposite, in fact. The bass pushes, the drums rattle, and the groove will literally lull you to an hypnotic state. There's also a hint of disco, deep house and definitely keta pop. What is your musical background?

I come from a very musical household – I learned to play piano and guitar at an early age, and music has always been a way for me to process my emotions. Before I got into electronic music, I lost myself in all kinds of other genres, and that still shapes how I approach music today. I don't want to tie myself to one specific sound – I try to follow my intuition and blend different genres together.

What I always connect with, though: bounce, deep and emotional tracks, and a good dose of trash.


What makes a good afterhours party?

For me, the afterhours are now often the best part of a night out. It's when the loud, lively night is over and we move on to a more relaxed setting with a small group of people hanging out. For me, a good afterhour needs the right people, a cosy place, lots of mischief and laughter, good drinks and snacks, and of course, the right soundtrack.


What would you like to share with us about your mix?

After a long night, I'm often exhausted and like to make myself comfortable somewhere. When the music picks me up and slowly breathes a little energy back into me while I'm still on this dreamy, tired but satisfied wave, that's one of the best experiences. That's what I've tried to achieve with this set.
