"Garaj Baras" (Urdu: گرج برس, literal English translation: "thunder and rain") is the seventh track on the 2003 album Dewaar by the sufi rock band Junoon. The song is written by the band's vocalist, Ali Azmat and lyricist, Sabir Zafar. The single was selected as part of a Bollywood movie soundtrack in 2003 for the film Paap directed by Pooja Bhatt.[1] The song topped the charts in both India and Pakistan in 2004.

Akash, a Singer, lyricist, Composer and a Music Producer was born in August in the beautiful city of Lahore, Pakistan. At the age of fifteen he started to take guitar lessons at Cathedral Higher Secondary school and soon music became necessity of his life. With devotion and passion for music he mastered twines in a short time of two years and continued to play guitar sessions with different artis
ts and studios.
2004, was a significant year for Akash as he launched his debut song “Aaj Phir” which was warmly greeted by the audience. “Ji Liya” was another hit song which topped the Pakistani music charts soon after its release and held its position firmly for eight weeks. With the success of a heart-warming patriotic song “Hum Azad Hain” the launch of his first Album was decided. November of 2007, “Aks”, Akash’s debut album came out in the market with a punk rock song “Arman”. Hard work paid off and the album made record making sales and was among the bestselling albums of the year.
After the release of “Rock Funda” in 2008, Akash left the country to setup his music studio in London to explore new confines. He has been busy ever since producing music and promoting new artists.
