Fuck Germany - India is calling this time of the year at Jannowitz Records. And for this release we gathered three of India’s finest producers that we could find to serve you what we call the “India Calling” EP. 
Let’s start in the east of the billion people country. You should remember Ash Roy. The Calcutta based artist was the one mixing this year’s Circle Compilation just a few weeks ago. For our May release he contributed a track that will remind you of the old rave days with driving synth lines and forward stomping kicks. His remixer, Ben Champell, gave it a much darker touch. Ben is debuting on Jannowitz Records with his remix after releasing on labels like Ballroom music and Blufin Records and mixing a Jannowitz podcast some weeks ago in the past.
Talking about dark. Let’s travel from Ash Roy’s Calcutta to New Delhi in the north of India. This is where Calm Chor is based. He’s been making music for almost two decades now and is known for his spacey and science fiction inspired dance floor tracks. So of course you should not expect any less than an evil and astronomic yet groovy floor sweeper from “Power Fail”. Young Spanish artist Emilio Rozalen aka Rosper converted “Power Fail” into a progressive, Jannowitz style number.
Progressive is also what you could call the third track that is located in the south of India and the country’s biggest city, Bombay. Diatonik’s “The Calling” seems to be an homage to his last EP on Jannowitz Records named “Odyssey”. The track keeps up with the powerful atmosphere and the deep basslines. Which leads us to the last remixer and probably one of the most exhausting tracks ever released on JAW. No one less than Drumcomplex himself was chosen to take care of “The Calling”. You can’t really describe what he did to it. His remix will drive you crazy, make you scream, jump and cheer - all in the very best ways you can imagine. “The Calling”’s Drumcomplex remix is a chirping acid number that is made for raw and industrial club nights with dripping sweat and ecstatic dance moves. But listen to it for yourself. It just confirms that “India Calling” is one of Jannowitz Records most diverse EPs ever. Which makes totally sense since the EP was made in three of India’s biggest cities that could not be any more different. India means diversity. “India Calling” as well.

His passion for music began watching various DJ’s perform at nightclubs & festivals! Blending different records with various effects and creating special moments was something that attracted his intellect! 

Influenced from many genres of music, his style consists of deep bass lines, uplifting melodic grooves with some hypnotic elements! 

He started experimenting with different sounds and finally found his spot in the Techno scene!
