Born and raised in Detroit Michigan the home of Motown, The L.O.R.D. aka Swagg Pitt stumbled upon his love for music at a young age. "My father played guitar with and for some of the greats including Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, and even played a few notes on one of Outkast's albums" said Swagg. He started playing drums at the age of 7 and became a passion for the next 4 years. After he got bored with the drums he started listening to groups such as Another Bad Creation, Kriss Kross, The Boys, and Bell Biv Dovoe... When his father noticed him dancing along with the videos, he put together a group called "The Pencil Kids" which consisted of his brother "Kilo Pu$hun" and 2 other neighborhood friends. "It was fun for a second but we got bored fast...we wanted to go outside and get dirty!" At the age of 13, Swagg became more interested in rap/hip hop music but just as a fan. His favorite artist(s) was Bone Thugs -N- Harmony. "I used to rap every word right along with them and I still remember all the lyrics" said Swagg with a serious look on his face as if he wanted someone to challenge him to it. After high school and a few years in the Air force, Swagg was right back in Detroit with his friends from high school. "EVERYBODY RAPPED my brother, my brother's friends, all of my friends...everybody". One day, sitting in his car drinking with his friends, one of them told Swagg to freestyle and when he did Swagg said "It sparked a flame so bright in me, you could probably see it from another planet!" After working with his brother Kilo on two mixtapes, Swagg started producing and making his own solo songs with no help. "I just now started taking music seriously, in the past I had 4 songs on the radio in Lansing Michigan at one time, did shows, opened up for cats, I even got a call from MTV to be on a rap reality show with Dougie Fresh and that show MADE, but it was just all fun and games to me... now I'm focused". Now that Swagg has perfected his style with rapping and producing he is now ready to make a name for himself in the industry. With his musical background, style, energy, and charisma I'm sure The L.O.R.D. aka Swagg Pitt will be not only be a favorite amongst rap and hip hop fans world wide but someone that everyone can relate to and just want to be around.
