Congratulations

I present to you all, "Black". "Black" is a response to my last album "Grey". The last album was filled with happy songs and sad ones as well. This album was created to respond to all the bad ones. This is truly what the dark side of my soul sounds like. This is what pain sounds like. Creating this release was the most organic thing I've done. I made this music because I had to. With "Grey" I decided to sit down, and create an album. This one was spawned from all my darkest moments that I've endured these past few weeks. You'll notice that I use guitar in most of these songs. That's primarily because I felt it to be therapeutic to create with my guitar, rather than just make everything with a synth. These songs are extremely personal, and very stripped compared to my normal work, and I even considered not releasing them because of those reasons, but I knew that this collection is the realest and best shit I've ever written, and for those reasons, I feel it is worth sharing. I would like to thank Megan Linville for helping me create this artwork. It truly ties the release together and conveys what it means. I'd also like to thank Stokes for delivering a perfect feature and completing "Blink Twice" so well. I would also like to thank my friend Caleb for playing my drunk friend in "Tell Em' I'm Stoned".

I hope you all enjoy this, or at least get anything out of it.

And don't worry, "White" is coming.
