The evening call (Gatha) traditionally follows the final meditation at a Sesshin (period of intense contemplation) in a Zendo (Jap. literally "place of the way") or monastery of Zen Buddhism.
The lyrics are hundreds of years old and have been  new translated and edited for this song.
I hope my little piece can inspire you on your (spiritual) path...

"From the deep of my heart i say to all of you:
Serious is the matter of life and death.
All things pass quickly
and no lingering knows the moment.
Always be fully awake and present,

The possibility that there are 9 billion Earth-like planets in our own galaxy (Milky Way) is touched on in the excellent novel 'Bewilderment' by Richard Powers.
Considering the 100-400 billion galaxies estimated in the universe, there may be vast numbers of different life-forms (past or present) around the cosmos. 
Surely some may be generating sound frequencies to excite or entertain others of their kind...or us?
