Hailing from Washington State, A King Also x The Royal Court are an amalgamation of styles rolled into one. Jr, Brandon, Marcus, Matt, Etienne and Kevin. They are a blend of musicians who bring something different to the table. Each has a different background that helps bring together the music they make. From Metal to EDM to Hip Hop/R&B. They make the type of music that you could listen to front to back each time. You never know what you’re going to get next when it comes to their songs. They released their debut album “Death Of A Stereotype” in September 2015, and are back in the studio working on new material for a future release.

When Kev started writing at a young age, he knew it was something he was truly passionate about. His desire to create was sparked by his daily exposure to music while living with his legendary uncle, George Clinton. Kev started writing music in 2009 as a way to vent his frustration and fury. That was then, and now it's become so much more. The ability to convey his thoughts and feelings about the world around him has become an important aspect of his existence. Kev sees his music as a way to express who he is on a deeper level. For him, it's not simply music; it's an expression of his spirit. When asked what he thought of Kev's music, Grammy-nominated musician and fellow Washington State resident Q Dot had to say: “It’s definitely a different door to go into in the music space right now. He has got the trap door, the conscious door, the quasi R&B door and then there’s the Kev door. It’s got all those elements lol. It's got the trap door handle, the conscious door hinges, the R&B door frame, and the door itself is something else lol. I don’t know how else to describe it man.”
