“Wrapped Intentions” is a vintage spiritual pop trilogy from Akiva David that explores the deep mystical power of tefillin through lush 1960s orchestration, inspired lyricism, and timeless melodic phrasing. Rooted in the teachings of the Ari and the Vilna Gaon, each song serves as a ladder — guiding the listener through thought, action, and spiritual ascent into the world of Atzilut.

This suite unfolds in three movements:

Part I: Everyday Heaven
Explains the daily purpose of tefillin — how thought and action unite to elevate the soul through sacred ritual.

Part II: Four Chambers of Light
Unpacks the mystery of the Shel Rosh, and the four spiritual compartments that align our consciousness with the Sefirot of Atzilut.

Part III: Seeking Atzilut
Concludes the journey with a prayerful ascent — where kavannah (intention) lifts the soul through the worlds and returns it to its divine source.

Blending orchestral pop in the style of Burt Bacharach and Nelson Riddle with crooner vocals and sacred geometry, Wrapped Intentions is an album for those who long to sing upward — and wrap eternity into every day.

Nabil Wakim est journaliste au Monde. Il produit l’excellent podcast Chaleur Humaine, consacrée aux enjeux du réchauffement climatique et aux solutions qui s’offrent à nous. Pour élever le niveau et enfin tout piger à la taxe anti-charbon, aux moules de rivières et à Thomas Piketty. Né au Liban de parents arabophones, il est également l’auteur de L’Arabe pour tous et du film Mauvaise langue où il essaie de comprendre pourquoi les enfants d’immigrés issus de pays arabes ne parlent pas la langue de leurs parents. 

Christine van Geen est l’autrice de l’essai Allumeuse : genèse d’un mythe. On l’a entendue dans l’épisode de Vivons heureux avant la fin du monde « Le mythe de l’allumeuse ». Elle est également enseignante, agrégée de philosophie et fan inconditionnelle de Jane Austen.

Marie Pavlenko écrit des romans et de la poésie. Dans l’épisode, «Comment parler de l'effondrement avec nos enfants", elle revenait sur son roman “Quand le désert disparaitra”, une dystopie captivante où les arbres ont disparu de la planète. Pour cet été, elle nous conseille d’emporter un peu de poésie Québécoise dans la valise.
