*A lover of electronic music from a young age Joe found himself gravitating to the sounds of house music from its inception at the end of the 80s. Frequenting the largest club in Ireland, Kelly’s (Lush), and then onto the Point inn (Donegal) and The Red Box (Dublin) his passion for the scene was truly ignited. Not satisfied with just listening to what others played he soon found himself in record shops every week buying every piece of vinyl he found appealing. His style gravitated to the Progressive house sound playing to friends at every chance he got. Fast forward 28 years and during the Pandemic entering a competition on Saturo Sounds got him a show on the Sation that he shares with his Indoctrinate brothers in Colly and Darren.

Joe and Colly also hold a fortnightly residency on Ireland's biggest underground radio station Phever Ireland. Joe has also hosted club nights in Ireland with a highlight being a night with Anthony Pappa and Harry Lemon. 2022 had Joe play at Saturo Sounds' takeover of the Kashmir Lounge in Amsterdam as part of ADE. 2023 shows no signs of slowing up with more gigs on the horizon including playing in the UK mainland with one of the hottest breaks acts of the scene right now, Framewerk."

AKIVA is a melodic house and techno producer/DJ/live act based in Los Angeles producing and curating music inspired by the progressive house scene of the early 2000s.

AKIVA started his journey through music with Jaco Pastorius. The rhythmically diverse and bass-driven fusion style, presented to him by his father and uncle's jazz records, prompted his purchase of an Ibanez bass guitar. Along with jazz, he developed a love of smooth tenor and alto saxophones and, string sounds of the violin and viola through his love of classical music. 

While he was jamming out to heavy metal and classic rock in high school, Akiva discovered electronic music on NYC's KTU station. AKIVA immediately started playing progressive and goa-psytrance songs with his friends at parties. House and techno music were still considered underground at that time. As the scene grew, both in NYC and abroad, he spent waking hours adding to his music collection and refining his production skills. 

AKIVA brings passion from all of his beloved musical genres, world music, and the classical inspirations of old school techno and house, focusing on the ethereal and deep melodies found across the world today.
