We were driving up highway 101 in central California this past Winter and noticed that the landscape was drier and browner than any Summer we'd lived through here. The lack of familiar Winter green shocked us, and we channeled that feeling into our music. "The Well" was born. We're excited to have the beautiful voices of Rising Appalachia singing in sweet harmony with us as we join the tradition of bringing song to a struggle in our community and raising awareness of the seriousness of this drought. 

We'd like to take this opportunity to help bring more thought to water conservation, not only when we're in a drought, but as a daily part of our lives. Water is a precious thing. We can all do our part to change our water-wasting ways and keep the wells from running dry. Rising Appalachia and The Human Experience met many years ago on the shores of southern India. "Soul Visions" is their first step in the long journey of bringing together electronic music and soul, folk and ballads, bass rhythms and swamp-womp in an effort to bridge worlds through aural exploration. I'm Kaya. I'm a multi-disciplinary artist born and raised on Turtle Island, known as Vancouver, BC. Both classically trained and self-taught, my musical style ranges from folk, RnB to Hip Hop, trap and EDM.
