FOTOAPPARAT was born somewhere in Europe, around the 21st century. The project is thought as a multimedia experiment with roots both from the past and the future : it is the fruit of the love of strange music, social science fiction and last but not least, underground electronic subcultures. 

REISEBEGLEITER is FOTOAPPARAT's 5th EP, out on January 19th on Diffuse Reality Records.
It is a fresco about humankind's perilous fascination for space, built on various musical atmospheres. The whole EP is thought as a journey, from rational scientific discoveries to the mystical exploration of the great unknown.
REISEBEGLEITER is the EP's title track, a reference to the artificial satellite Sputnik 1. It is mixing transporting arpeggios, airy synth pads and wide heavy basses, all creating an hallucinatory spatial atmosphere.

Straight from Northern Italy, Alessio Meneghello or better known for his moniker Alan Backdrop, has been attracting his listeners through his productions characterized with deep atmospheres and a mixture of genres melted together in the classic, hypnotic and repetitive way of Techno music.
He is the kind of producer that certainly enjoys his studio jam sessions—this is the reason why he spends most of the time in his studio tweaking knobs on synthesizers, recording and experimenting with the aim to capture and create his own sound.
After releasing music on reputable labels over the years, Alan is now releasing music mainly on his own, having already released three well received albums on Bandcamp.
