During the spring of 1999 Twisted Pear released their debut 11-track album, 'Peeled'. It was written over a two-year period as both members of the band were in full-time work. Derek Mason, the founder of the band, was a Computer Programmer; Alan Hoose an Infrastructure Technician. All work, from writing the songs to producing the CD, was done in-house by the band. Additional vocals were produced by Clare Peaty, and the Album artwork was created by Colleen (Proxima3) and Paul (Ion-Storm).
The debut album received praise from the likes of the UK's top music magazine Future Music (where it received a glowing review of 10/10 in Issue 83, and was featured on the magazine's cover CD in Issue 86), and BBC Radio One (who featured the title track 'Greenfruit' for 3 months on their web site).

“We accidentally sent the album to the wrong address when we sent it to Future Music magazine.” says Derek.
“It was reviewed alongside that month’s signed artists’ album releases. We beat Basement Jaxx into third place, and came joint-second with Moby’s ‘Play’ album. So we sent it again next month to the correct address, and our title track made the cover CD.”

Getting There - After a news article I saw I put this one together thinking about the pressure some people in relationships are going through and having to stay positive and together in difficult times getting over the hurdles thrown at them.

Walking in Another Man’s Shoes -  After watching countless crime dramas on Netflix during being Furloughed felt the need to create a gangster track that wouldn’t sound out of place as backing on something like Peaky Blinders.

Male producer from Burton.  Used to be half of the band Twisted Pear, we had some music featured in the past on Radio 1 and Future Music. Had a knee op end of 2019 which made time to setup my Digital Audio Workstation up again.  Produced a test album back end of 2019 called ‘From Both Sides Of The River.  In March 2020 I found myself being Furloughed for 92 days which was another perfect opportunity to work on some new music.  I have put together a 16 track new album ‘Strange Times’ which is available from 30/11/20 . Lost Dreams - Track written on the night a family member passed away, was a sad day and he went far too early and it just felt that he and his partner had so many dreams lost.

Can I Count On You? - A track about friendship and having someone there for you.

Just Kiss Me - My daughters were watching a reality program on TV and they just kept dropping banging dance track after banging track in during the episode and just wanted to create a song with similar happy vibe.

Make The Place Jump - Wanted to create a dance/rock type sound that would raise the roof and get a room bouncing.

Make It Rain - A song created with a good night out in mind once the clubs and bar are open again.

Getting There - After a news article I saw I put this one together thinking about the pressure some people in relationships are going through and having to stay positive and together in difficult times getting over the hurdles thrown at them.

Blue Eyes - Another track just about a good night out.

Strange Times - Just a track about the way I feel in 2020 and really missing a night out on the town with friends amongst crowds.

No Good - A BBC introducing track as featured on BBC Midlands.  Just about frustrations people going through being told to stay at home during these trying times.

Let’s Get Over This - Song about the mental health issues and break ups caused by the pressures of   lockdown and isolation.

Icy Lover – A short track created with my daughter about 1 sided relationship.

End Game -  This track was put together with a friend.  I just simply wanted to make a song that I could use to make a video for it that included a Werewolf and this was the track we put together.

Strawberry Lover - Wanted to put together a stripped back Lo-Fi track for the album with my youngest daughter putting some vocals down on this one.
