Me and my -ah- mother and father - and a 
grandmother and a grandfather - were driving through 
the desert, at dawn, and a truck load of Indian 
workers had either hit another car, or just - I don't 
know what happened - but there were Indians scattered 
all over the highway, bleeding to death. 

So the car pulls up and stops. That was the first time 
I tasted fear. I musta' been about four - like a child is

The reaction I get now thinking about it, looking

My entry for the Disquiet Junto Project 0463: Making the Gradient.

The Assignment: Make a piece of music inspired by the concept of a gradient.

I let myself be inspired by the sounds of the Prophet VS, a 1986 vector synthesis instrument, with their smooth transitioning waveforms.

Of course, I didn't actually use that, but the Arturia iProphet iPad emulation, which meanwhile is almost as vintage as the real thing.

I'm using a variety of mobile and desktop apps to make the stuff here. I'm a big fan of the low-cost and free versions of Caustic, I also love Korg Gadget on the iPad - when I get serious it's Ableton Live... Have a bunch of real guitars and keyboard stuff but mostly use virtual stuff because I have to really be motivated to start messing about with all those wires.....
