Robert Lemay has composed many works and received numerous international awards. Among recent honors include the second prize from the International Competition Prize Luxembourg 2007 and the second prize from the Kazimierz Serocki 10th International Composers’ Competition 2006. Other international prizes include the first prize from the 2004 Harelbeke Muziekstad Wind Ensemble Competition in Belgium. In addition, Lemay received three prizes from the CAPAC (presently SOCAN).

His music draws its inspiration primarily from poetry, literature, cinema, visual arts, political or social events and includes two series of tributes; one to filmmakers and another to abstract painters. 

Lemay has been performed in Canada, the United States, Asia (Japan, South Korea and Thailand), Europe (Austria, France, Denmark, Spain, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Poland, Belgium and Scotland), South America (Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela), Mexico,  Israel & Australia. Many of his pieces have been broadcast on Société Radio-Canada, CBC, Bavarian State Radio, European Broadcasting Union (Luxembourg), Polish National Radio, Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF) in Autria and ABC Classic FM (Australia). Twenty of his pieces appear on 18 different CDs in Canada, Europe and USA.

Lemay holds a doctorate degree in composition from the Université de Montréal a master’s degree from Université Laval. He also studied at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and has worked with David Felder and taken part in seminars with Brian Ferneyhough, Louis Andriessen, and Donald Erb. In France, he worked with François Rossé in Bordeaux and Georges Apergis at the ATEM in Paris.

California flutist Alan Berquist performs and teaches in the SF Bay Area. He is an Adjunct Professor of Flute at California State University, Stanislaus and Diablo Valley College. Degrees from Florida State University (DM, BM), University of Wisconsin-Madison (MM), and Carnegie Mellon University (Performance Certificate). His primary teachers include Eva Amsler, Alberto Almarza, and Stephanie Jutt.

Paco Versailles is a dynamic musical duo that seamlessly blends the rhythmic flair of Flamenco guitar with modern songwriting and dance production. The name "Paco Versailles" pays homage to the legendary Flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia, while also nodding to the opulent French suburb of Versailles.


Comprised of guitarist/producer Vahagni and songwriter/producer Ryan Merchant, Paco Versailles has quickly made a name for themselves as a unique musical voice and a captivating live act. As their first two albums Dancemenco and Young in California spread organically across the globe, they are set to release their 3rd studio album Olé Maca on September 13th.

Lebanese composer and music theorist Sami Seif (b. 1998) has been praised as “a distinctive compositional voice” who creates “intoxicating and fascinating soundworld[s]” (Carla Rees, Pan Journal of the British Flute Society). Described as “very tasteful and flavorful” with “beautiful, sensitive writing!” (Webster University Young Composers Competition), his music is inspired by the aesthetics, philosophies, paradigms and poetry of his Middle-Eastern heritage. His latest musical concerns center around the phenomenology of time and of differing degrees of focus.

A passionate and enthusiastic collaborator, Seif has worked with numerous renowned musicians. Previous and upcoming collaborators include Mary Kay Fink and Stanley Konopka of The Cleveland Orchestra, Vinay Parameswaran, Carla Rees, Marcelo Lehninger, the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, the Odin Quartet, Amer Hasan, TEMPO Ensemble, Juan Riveros, Earplay, Ensemble 126, Ensemble Metamorphosis, Drew Hosler, Dustin White, and Lana Stafford, among others. Seif’s music has been recognized internationally by various institutions such  as ASCAP, SOCAN, the RED NOTE New Music Festival, the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York, the New York Composers Circle, the Stamford Music and Arts Academy, the Foundation for Modern Music, the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs, the Cleveland Composer’s Guild, the Arizona Flute Society, Webster University, Abundant Silence, and Warren County Summer Music School, among others. Additionally, he was selected as a finalist for the 2019 Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra call for scores from a pool of more than 2200 applicants from more than 90 countries. In 2020, he was selected again from a larger pool of almost 8000 applicants.

Originally from the small town of Ashkout in Mount Lebanon, he was born to a non-musical family in Abu Dhabi and he is fluent in Arabic, French and English. He started out at the age of twelve as a self-taught musician, composing and playing on special, Arabic keyboards designed to accommodate the microtones of Arabic music. Not having had access to formal music education, Seif taught himself how to read and write music by reading theory textbooks. He later formally studied piano, composition, audio engineering, and sound synthesis.

Seif completed his BM, double-majoring in composition and music theory at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where, he was honored with the Donald Erb prize in composition and the Beth Pearce Nelson award in music theory upon graduation. He is currently a doctoral fellow at the CUNY Graduate Center, studying with Jason Eckardt, Bruce Saylor, and David Schober. His former teachers include Julia Victorivna Podsekaeva (composition and piano), Roger Bergs (composition), Alan Reese (music theory), and Gerardo Teissonnière (piano).

Soy compositor, arreglista, guitarrista, docente e investigador. Nací en Manizales, Colombia. 

En 2006 comencé la carrera Licenciatura en Música con énfasis en Guitarra Clásica en la Universidad de Caldas (Manizales), donde cursé estudios con el Maestro a Jorge Alberto González. 

En 2007-2008 participé de Clases Magistrales de Guitarra con Peter y Zoltán Katona, Ricardo Cobo, Irene Gómez y Andrés Villamil, realizadas en el marco de la II y III Semana de la Guitarra organizadas por el Banco de la República de Colombia (Manizales). 

En 2008 participé del Jazz Camp 2008, realizado por el Centro Colombo-Americano, la Universidad de Caldas y el Banco de la República de Colombia, dictado por los docentes Christopher Kossack y Jonathan Noffsinger de la Universidad de Alabama (EE.UU). 

En 2009 viajé a La Plata (Argentina) y comencé a cursar la carrera de Licenciatura en Música orientación Composición en la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, tomando clases con los compositores Mariano Etkin y Carlos Mastropietro. 

De 2014 a 2016 desempeñé la función de ayudante adscripto dentro la Cátedra de Teoría de la Práctica Artística de la FBA, UNLP. 

En el bienio 2015-2016 fui becario de investigación dentro del Programa ‘’Becas Estímulo a las Vocaciones Científicas’’ del CIN, Universidad Nacional de La Plata, bajo la dirección del Doctor Edgardo José Rodríguez. 

En 2018 me gradué de la Licenciatura y en 2019​ me gradué del Profesorado en Música or. Composición de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. 

Actualmente soy profesor de diversos colegios de dicha ciudad. 

De 2006 a 2009 integré la agrupación KAPIBARA, que fusionaba géneros brasileños con Folklore Latinoamericano, Jazz, Reggae y Funk. Es ésta cumplía roles de guitarrísta y compositor, estrenando varias de mis composiciones en escenarios de Manizales y Bogotá (Colombia), La Plata y Buenos Aires (Argentina).

​De 2009 a 2011 integré la agrupación TERCERMUNDANOS, que interpretaba músicas folclóricas y populares latinoamericanas. En ésta cumplía roles de guitarrista, vocalista, arreglista y compositor, estrenando varias de mis composiciones en escenarios de La Plata (Argentina).​

De 2012 a la actualidad integro el DÚO VANEALE que interpreta músicas folclóricas y populares latinoamericanas, cumpliendo roles de guitarrista, vocalista, arreglista y compositor. Hemos estrenado varias de mis composiciones en escenarios de La Plata y Buenos Aires (Argentina) y Manizales (Colombia).

Robert is a composer living in Boston, MA. He co-founded the <a href="http://www.sleepinggiantmusic.org">Sleeping Giant</a> composer collective and the <a href="http://www.fastforwardaustin.com">Fast Forward Austin</a> music festival.
