DKTech delivers a masterclass in modern hypnotic hardgroove techno, a sound that channels the raw, pounding energy of the classic Berlin underground while pushing the genre's rhythmic boundaries. This EP is a high-octane journey into the heart of the dancefloor, built on deep, driving grooves, razor-sharp percussion, and an uncompromising focus on hypnotic intensity.

The three tracks are perfectly tuned peak-time weapons, embodying the "tough with groove" ethos of the hardgroove revival. Expect pounding kicks, intricate syncopated drums, and dark, looping synth textures that are both relentless and mesmerising. 01 DKTech - This is Techno (Original Mix)

2017 marks a milestone year for us at Bonzai, we're 25! To mark this momentous occasion we've got some amazing surprises that are coming your way over the next 12 months. We kick off the celebrations with a tantalising remix of an absolute classic from an absolute legend, Jam El Mar goes to work on one of Bonzai's most famous releases - The House Of House by Cherrymoon Trax. First released in 1994 on Bonzai Records - catalogue number for the trainspotters is BR 94054 - THOH fuelled the beginning of a new wave of harder edged sounds and tracks that build and build with epic climaxes. Cherrymoon Trax were a veritable who's who in the Belgian electronic music scene, borne out of the phenomena that was New Beat, a collection of artists including Bjorn Wendelen, David Brants, Eddy Weyns, Franky Kloeck, Ilya Depuydt, Kris Vanderheyden, Nico Deleu, Pascal Quatretemps, Peter Schiettekatte, Philip Dirix, Youri De Pauw, Yves Deruyter got together and the rest is history. Although the group members have changed over the years the legacy remains. While all this was going on, Jam El Mar aka Rolf Ellmer - alongside his long time friend and studio partner, the late great Mark Spoon aka Markus Löffel, were taking electronic music to new heights as Jam & Spoon with the likes of Follow Me and Stella among many others. So we just knew that he was the perfect candidate to get this party started in style. Keep an eye out for more info as each month we will have a new classic remixed by the cream of the electronic music crop.

The remix delivers a solid techno fuelled ride filled with nostalgia and a burning dancefloor agenda. We're taken deep with this one and from the intro we're locked on. A steady pulsing bass note and percussion hit combo trails a fading in "the house of house" vocal. A hypnotic synth pluck comes in before the monster kicks take hold with a powerful bass landing on the beat. The classic synths that we all know join in and, while slowed down still carry the same obsessive, infectious groove that digs deep into your soul. After an intense build up we find ourselves completely spaced out as those synths work their magic. A superb tribute to a much loved classic that will keep the legacy stronger than ever.

Charlotte de Witte is back on Sleaze Records after her outstanding debut earlier this year! Her second effort for the label features 4 quality original tracks, each bringing a different vibe, showing the variation of her production talent. The title track 'Wisdom' is the biggest of the bunch, having a huge impact in the peak moments. 'I'll See You Tonight' is more dark & driving, with a stand out vocal cut. 'Sending Them' is a stripped down, loopy groover and 'Maelstrom' rounds off the EP nicely with a pounding beat, a crazy warped vocal and hard hitting percussive elements.

Wisdom (Original Mix)

Making his debut on Drumcode in 2017 with his track ‘Fake’ featured on the A-Sides Vol 6 compilation, one of Brazil’s much loved exports Wehbba brings us his first full EP this February with ‘Eclipse’.

A no nonsense 4 track offering, and all thoroughly road tested by Adam, they have gained much support from longtime Drumcode fans. Eclipse, delivers a low end rumble along with a modulating synth line. Reigning high throughout the track, is the undeniably catchy and unique synth. Leaving this track one to be recognised on dancefloors all over the world.

‘Protocol’ doesn't turn down the pace, straight into a chugging hypnotic drive, this track leaks with attitude, along it’s eerie undertones.

Probably the most acid influenced track of the EP, ‘Glasswerk’ has a futuristic modular synth riff which thunders along a hypnotic bass line which flows nicely into ‘Framework’ to close out the EP. Its punchy and powerful kick sits alongside the cleverly crafted synth pattern, taking this track into a dark zone with a groovy element still resonant.

We Are The Brave stormed onto the scene in 2016, and has since released some truly epic dancefloor bangers from both the established and fresh faced talents the industry has to offer. Alan featuring some of his biggest tracks on the label, as well as inviting Reset Robot, Gary Beck, Skream, Darius Syrossian, and Sasha to be a part of their ever-growing family. 2019 is set to be the biggest year yet, with Alan Fitzpatrick’s Day just around the corner and more planned label showcases than ever before.

‘Poison’ was a vocal smash hit last year from Croydons finest – Skream. He’s teamed up with a UK duo who are already regulars on his imprint, as well as Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains – Melody’s Enemy.

‘This Is It’ the lead track, has a story. On a flight to play a festival in Germany, the guys decided on a concept to record Ollie, get a recording that showed a slice of who he really is, what he's all about. “We did wonder if he'd go for it actually, and we sprung it on him unawares on the day he came to our studio - but true to form, he was up for it in an instant!” adds Melody’s Enemy.

A full-on futuristic acid hook, with a driving energetic bassline sitting alongside Ollie’s spoken words which weave in and out between the synth and groove. This is MEGA!

Given the title, ‘5am’ is a bit more of a straight up banger, with its low end kicks and tight punctuation, pads glide through the track along the main rave inspired synth. “Ollie sent us a hook and parts from something he'd been working on. And we went to town on it. The motive here was maximum dance damage’.

Melody's Enemy vs Skream - This Is It

Drumcode mainstay Bart Skils links up with emerging DJ/producer Weska for a maiden collaboration.

The duo first met in 2013 when Bart played Toronto’s iconic Coda, where Weska was a regular. In friendship and in music, they clicked effortlessly. Since then, the Dutchman has become one of DC’s most vital contributors, releasing a consistent stream of standout productions on the label, highlighted by the now-classic ‘Your Mind’ with Adam Beyer. Meanwhile the rhythmic power of Weska’s productions caught the ear of Beyer who gave the young Canadian his debut on the imprint with ‘Other Places’ when ‘A-Sides Vol.7’ dropped last summer.

When Weska migrated to Berlin a plan was hatched to collaborate, with the pair swapping ideas back and forth, before linking up in Amsterdam to finish the work. The propulsive ‘Polarize’ EP is the result, a pair of cuts that have highlighted Beyer’s gigs at Department Festival in Stockholm, Junction 2 and his behemoth B2B with Cirez D at EDC Vegas. The title cut packs a punch with rugged basslines and pin-sharp percussion, while stabs of melody dip in and out with euphoric effect. ‘Lost On You’ is a heady trip into the abyss with a sinister vocal line and powerful climax.

A man who needs little introduction, Southampton born techno legend Alan Fitzpatrick has spent the last decade carving out his musical niche and holding rank in the upper echelons of the underground electronic world. Few artists can claim to have headlined Berghain and also had a hit on daytime BBC Radio 1, but then there aren’t many artists like Alan Fitzpatrick. 

One of the most popular techno DJs in the world, he has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Carl Cox and Adam Beyer for the best part of a decade, performing at the world’s biggest clubs and festivals. Known primarily for his raw hard-edged sound, Alan has developed into one of dance music’s most versatile producers, equally at home putting out techno bangers on Drumcode as he is making disco-infused house anthems, or experimental electronica under his 3STRANGE alias, not to mention his impressive range of collaborations (including CamelPhat, Skream, Sasha, Rebūke and Jamie Jones). 

The We Are The Brave and Apex Faction label don adopts a no nonsense approach to A&R and in 5 short years Alan has welcomed some of Techno’s finest producers to his fold. The Englishman champions the musical output of both established artists and breakthrough alike, accumulating over 50 million Spotify Streams on We Are The Brave records since its inception in 2016.
