New York City-based DJ, producer and JUJUKA label boss Julia Govor delivers this week's Global Vibe Radio mix!

Born in Georgia, Julia started as a singer in a military band back in the USSR and ended up in New York.

She’s collaborated with some of the most well-known electronic dance music producers and contemporary DJs – artists such as Kamran Sadeghi, Ricardo Villalobos, Nina Kraviz and Jeroen Search.

Her productions lean towards the sophisticated side of original Detroit Techno, while keeping it dry, detail-loaded and diverse. She’s most known as a producer who has her own unique and innovative sounds.

With letting our mind wander, creating a construct as fundation, which now represent a series of events, label and booking at the same time. „My Favourite Freaks“ is meant to be a community of like-minded people who spur their own thing – just good music – on.

Bio: "Stemming from a partnership with two decades of DJ experience behind them, Wild Dark takes on contemporary songwriting and gives it a unique, thoughtful approach using a wide spectrum of electronic music to tell a story. The duo, comprised of the NYC based brothers Corey & Ryan Negrin, stray from cold digital samples in favor of a warm, organic approach to writing music. We go back in time for 10 years, to a well known club in Berlin, where I celebrated the 10 Years Anniversary of my label CLR, and guess what - also played for 10 hours. Can´t believe that this is already 10 years ago really. Still kind of remember that night/day very well, especially the magic moments during the party and also especially at the end, when I played that DJ Hell track. With me on that night playing were Traversable Wormhole, @sanhajimastering Brian Sanhaji, @tommyfourseven_47 and @monoloc_official  until I finished off the night/day with my closing set. These are memories that are ingrained in my brain and I surely hope we can soon do this again. So this week it´s the fourth hour of this set. All the rest will be coming on a weekly basis, as you all know by now I guess. A man who needs little introduction, Southampton born techno legend Alan Fitzpatrick has spent the last decade carving out his musical niche and holding rank in the upper echelons of the underground electronic world. Few artists can claim to have headlined Berghain and also had a hit on daytime BBC Radio 1, but then there aren’t many artists like Alan Fitzpatrick. 

One of the most popular techno DJs in the world, he has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Carl Cox and Adam Beyer for the best part of a decade, performing at the world’s biggest clubs and festivals. Known primarily for his raw hard-edged sound, Alan has developed into one of dance music’s most versatile producers, equally at home putting out techno bangers on Drumcode as he is making disco-infused house anthems, or experimental electronica under his 3STRANGE alias, not to mention his impressive range of collaborations (including CamelPhat, Skream, Sasha, Rebūke and Jamie Jones). 

The We Are The Brave and Apex Faction label don adopts a no nonsense approach to A&R and in 5 short years Alan has welcomed some of Techno’s finest producers to his fold. The Englishman champions the musical output of both established artists and breakthrough alike, accumulating over 50 million Spotify Streams on We Are The Brave records since its inception in 2016. Fast-forward to 2021 and the southern powerhouse shows no sign of slowing down, his passion for music permeating all aspects of his career. The WATB frontman is renowned for curating an evening of exceptional magnitude, having already showcased his roster’s talent at The Warehouse Project, Shine Belfast, SWG3 Glasgow and the infamous Fabric nightclub in London.
