Berlin Club Culture is facing the biggest challenge in its history. On Friday, the 13th of March, all of Berlin´s nightlife was officially shut down to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Since then, about 9000 employees, as well as tens of thousands of artists have been without work and wages, and the existence of many of the places that give Berlin its identity is threatened.
As a reaction to the closing of all Berlin clubs and to the rest of the world being in quarantine, Berlin is showing its support and solidarity by bringing the biggest possible digital club to your home.

1. How Did Corona change your artist life?
We’ve been working a lot on new music, more than ever before. We’re evolving our productions and improving our skills as producers & DJs. Moreover, we got some new toys in our studio as we will start playing live once the clubs will re-open. Meanwhile, there is much more time since Corona for our families, friends, hobbies and other projects for which there was no time before, e.g. working on new designs for t-shirts, a professional website and much more. 

2. Where did  you record the mix and how did you feel?
The mix is the recording of our set for United We Stream Rhein-Neckar at Loft Club Ludwigshafen. We were super nervous during the recording as it was our first vinyl only set to date and our first livestream since pandemic. We put much effort into the track selection, so we could not wait to tell the story behind. It felt so good to be back behind the decks, dancing to loud music inside a club & supporting the scene at the same time. Thanks again for making this happen and the great opportunity.

3. What are your wishes for the time after Corona?
We hope that people will appreciate things like „going out“ & meeting friends more than before. Besides that, we hope that people spent time on research for new music & talents. There are so many great artists who have not yet received the attention they deserve. Last but not least, we hope that these crazy times will be an opportunity for each & everyone to reflect their own behavior: if we all work together - not against each other - we will all benefit from it. We are one big community!

Listen here to the eighth hour of my 10h set that I played for my birthday in 2014 at the legendary Output Club in Brooklyn. 

How I miss DJing in clubs, in front of all of you and how I miss Output Club and those special all night long nights that I usually did in December around my birthday. This set, which you will get hour by hour on a weekly basis now here on AMFM was one of the longer ones. Output had a very strict no picture policy, so there is no footage from inside the club, I only found one blurry picture from my birthday cake. I started at 11 pm as far as I remember and according to my recording I ended at 9 in the morning. Output was such a special place with an amazing sound system and DJ booth, it was always such a pleasure playing there. You always take things for granted as long as you have them. Output Club had to close down end of 2018. I was very sad then and somehow I am even more now, as these days seem so long ago and I have no idea when I get to do something similar again in NYC. I miss it. I miss the city and its people. I have always had a great relationship with NYC since I started to play there in the late 90’s for the legendary Monday nights at Sullivan Bar, organised by @christiansmith. Time goes by so fast, if we don’t learn to appreciate the moment more, it will all just become a faint memory. Stay healthy everyone and I really hope I will get to see you all on some dancefloor again. A man who needs little introduction, Southampton born techno legend Alan Fitzpatrick has spent the last decade carving out his musical niche and holding rank in the upper echelons of the underground electronic world. Few artists can claim to have headlined Berghain and also had a hit on daytime BBC Radio 1, but then there aren’t many artists like Alan Fitzpatrick. 

One of the most popular techno DJs in the world, he has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Carl Cox and Adam Beyer for the best part of a decade, performing at the world’s biggest clubs and festivals. Known primarily for his raw hard-edged sound, Alan has developed into one of dance music’s most versatile producers, equally at home putting out techno bangers on Drumcode as he is making disco-infused house anthems, or experimental electronica under his 3STRANGE alias, not to mention his impressive range of collaborations (including CamelPhat, Skream, Sasha, Rebūke and Jamie Jones).
