Michael is born in Belgium in 1974 and grew up in Brabant-Wallon. Michael has a passion for music, and has always music playing in his head. Michael is a registered author and writer with many composition from various style: Rock, Grunge, Classic, Jazz, Computer music,.. Michael plays piano, guitar and he sings. Michael founded the group BlackField in Belgium (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9Hdde1echC-fv6tZtz2dnQ). In 1998, after finishing his studies as Electrical (Civil) Engineer at UCL, Louvain-la-Neuve, he challenged himself to Japan where he's still active as a Broadcast engineer and business entrepreneur,  keeping music as a main hobby. As a musician for 12 years, Icy sees it as his mission to dive heads-on into the void of the unknowns, the fleeting mystical spaces in-between words and beyond regular sounds, and then come back to tell others what he saw. He uses ethereal soundscapes and textures the ear did not know it can enjoy, all packaged within beats that are universally groovy yet local in their feel & presence. His music is playful and introspective, carrying the danceability of EDM and the depth and psychedelia of experimental electronica. It is music that feels personal but also one that you can dance to; music to contemplate your place in the universe or entertain its absurdity and just dance to it.

To date, Icy has released over 3 hours worth of music and produced over 30 original tracks. His latest 2021 album, Hawa w' Mayya, has been well received by both listening fans and dancing ravers for its ability to take them in an introspective journey full of emotions, whether it is on a dance floor or during psychedelic meditative states. Icy performed his music live along side famous local nightlife names like The Disc Jockeys, O. Ezzo, Shiho and others. With music built with live performances in mind, he capitalizes on his collection of vintage and modern synthesizers, drum machines and his own visual art installations and light setups.

Icy's journey is a collision of musical, personal, mystical and technological paths. He comes from  multi-disciplinary backgrounds through-which he heavily draws his skills and vision. He's an expert in acoustic psychology thanks to his medical and researcher backgrounds. He also implements advanced technologies like AI and Machine Automation into his arts - skills he acquired from his work as a management consultant. Icy believes his music and artistic journey is an extension of his self-development and growth journey - a side he invests in heavily and continuously.

His music is inspired by artists like Max Cooper, Nil Frahms, Kiasmos, Rival Consoles and Jon Hopkins.
