The hypnotic, percussive beats characterizing MARRØN’s foundational Afro Deep style have evolved to form a singular conception of techno. His dynamic take on the genre is at home in the underground, most notably in his role as co-founder and resident of Amsterdam’s Eerste Communie.

Ketikoti translated from sranan tongo to english is broken chain and manspasi dey means emancipation day. A surinamese annual celebration on July 1st each year. 

July 1st 1863 (officially 1873) is when slavery was abolished in Surinam. A day where freedom of our ancestors was finally realized. Those who have suffered so much for us to live free now. 

Freedom and peace is something we kindly consider normal but even now in 2022 we have modern slavery of the uyguhrs in China. Thousands of migrant workers dead in Qatar for the world championship of football, Palestina who suffer from apartheid until this day and war in Ukraine which all of a sudden came really close. 

Freedom is something we are blessed with. We should not take this for granted and enjoy life as much as possible. Be kind and good to people around you, it might be a small thing for you to do but it can mean SO MUCH for others.

Stone Techno Festival 2024 - Yanamaste - ARTE Concert

One of the most requested sets from last year finally lands on LIVE.DVSN series... We welcome back on the channel one of the best live acts in Colombia and a close friend of GRV.DVSN: Innexen.

This session was recorded during our Live Sessions party back in August last year on where Innexen closed Antisistema's main stage after UFO95 with a driving and powerful techno live set, considered by many as the best sets of the night. 

Not too many words needed, you already know what's coming. Buckle up for one of Colombia's finest rising stars.

Dutch-born, Berlin-based DJ Laure Croft lives by the mantra "keep it sexy." Her sets channel the liberating energy of the dancefloor - sweaty, ecstatic, and high-octane. With a relentless drive for fresh, high-intensity techno, she crafts ever-evolving sets rooted in the genre’s futuristic spirit, drawing from decades of club culture.


The mix is a part of a set played at RSO. During this day it was raining like crazy and my mind was going all over the place after an already busy show weekend.  Inside the club I felt a sense of relief and it was hot and sweaty. I wanted to release tension with this mix and have a versatile selection of happier techno with lots of tribalistic percussion and deeper, more emotional and intense techno. Its a high energy rushing mix where the club was fully dancing and screaming. I was going through stages of emotion myself and felt this response also from the crowd. I love how the few walls of a club can help me release anything inside my body, and share this experience with other likeminded ones.

'I've kept this mix really close to what i believe in, which is groovy uptempo high energy techno. As i always search for sounds i feel are connected to my roots i’ve tried to keep this set very clean and rhythmic on a consistent basis.'


MARRØN is always trying to exceed the limits of himself and the crowd, with his fast but extremely rhythmic sound driven by his roots. Highly inspired by the powerful and strong-willed Marrons who freed themselves from slavery to live freely in the primeval forest of Surinam.
Starting his musical evolution with Afro Deep, characterized by its African beats and used 
these elements to connect with techno music.

The freedom and diversity of techno persuaded him to really dig into the underground scene and create a name of his own. This sound contains African groove and a powerful but atmospheric techno sound with which he aims to hypnotize the crowd to stay on the dancefloor for hours.

MARRØN is co-founder and resident of the fast growing underground movement named Eerste Communie based in Amsterdam. It’s save to say that the growth and recognition of MARRØN as a dj has alot to do with the NDYUKA PODCAST serie, where he emphasizes to drop a serie of podcasts with pure club dancefloor techno.
