When I heard the beautiful "Re" theme, I had this idea for a rework: I wanted to create a jazzy, stumbling groove and a fat dub feeling at the same time, but still retaining the mellow character of the original.
I took some noisy loops from the original, went for my analogue modular synth for filtering / bass / kickdrum, recorded the percussion stuff in my Foley studio and in the end I found myself playing some lines on tenor & soprano saxophones.
