[10/05/2024] Do Not Let the Fitnah of the Hot Summer Days Lead You to the Hellfire! - By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

- The dress code of the Muslim 
- The rotation of the seasons and weather is a sign from Allāh 
- The heat of summer and reflecting upon the heat of the Hellfire 
- The two exhalations of the hellfire
- The relation to the story of Ibrahīm عليه السلام
- The statement of Al-Hasan Al-Basri رحمه الله regarding the heat and cold of the dunyā
- Reflecting upon the severe heat of the hellfire and the unrelenting, eternal punishment therein
- The characteristics of those who will enter the hellfire, and those who will enter paradise
- The darkness of the fire of Hell
- A warning against going to places of fitan and dressing in a manner that is displeasing to Allāh during the days of summer
- The closeness of the sun on the Day of Judgement
- The sun drawing close on the Day of Judgement 
- An example of how the Salaf would remind themselves and others about the punishment of the hellfire 
- ۞ هَـٰذَانِ خَصْمَانِ ٱخْتَصَمُوا۟ فِى رَبِّهِمْ ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيمُ ١٩
{These two opponents (believers and disbelievers) dispute with each other about their Lord: then as for those who disbelieved, garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads.} [22:19]

The Conditions, Pillars & Requirements of the Prayer

The Pillars of the Prayer are Fourteen.

The main points covered in this lesson:

The Fourth Pillar: The Bowing - Ar- Ruku’u
The Fifth Pillar: Rising from the bowing position.
The Sixth Pillar: Prostrating upon the seven limbs.
The Seventh Pillar: Sitting back up from prostration.
The Eighth Pillar: Sitting between the two prostrations.
The Ninth Pillar: Being in a state of Tranquility during all the acts of prayer.

– The hadīth of the Prophet ﷺ ‘I was ordered to prostrate in the seven limbs.’
‎– الاعتدال - There are two risings, one is from the bowing position where one stands after bowing and the other is the rising from prostration where one remains sitting. Both times refers to raising back up until the backbone is straight.
– If الاعتدال - the rising from Ar- Ruku’u and As-Sajdah is not done correctly then the prayer will be invalid.
– Refer to the Hadīth of the man that prayed badly. The Prophet ﷺ explained and taught the man how to pray and then said ‘Go back and pray for you have not prayed’. 
– A further narration of the Prophet ﷺ explaining the الاعتدال and its necessity in order for a person’s prayer to be valid.
– The Hanafi Madhab does not hold الاعتدال to be a pillar, which opposes the clear texts.
– The Ninth Pillar: Being in a state of Tranquility during all the acts of prayer.
– The legislative meaning of التطمئن - Tranquility.
– Explanation of Shaikh Muhammad Āmān Al-Jami of the Hadīth of the man that prayed badly.
