The statements of the Prophet, peace be upon him, have been preserved word for word in the language it came in. 

The Testification of faith, Laa illaaha illa Allaah, was mentioned commonly by the Prophet Sallallaahu Alayhi Wa sallam and is frequently on the tongue of the Muslim. These few words are the most important words a person could ever say in this life. These words, are not restricted to the Prophet of Islam, rather they are the words of all of the Prophets and the Messengers.

These words, in short known as "Tawheed", mean to single out Allaah in worship.

As Muslims, we believe we are a creation and we have a Creator. This creation is that which points towards a Creator. 

Our natural disposition directs us to believing in The Creator.

The speakers also discusses the beliefs of the Atheists and Christians and how a Muslim should respond to them. 

It's mentioned in the Quran that Jesus said to his people:

"Whoever associates partners with God, Allaah has made forbidden for him Paradise"

Allaah says:

"Allaah does not forgive that partners are set up besides Him, but he forgives what is lesser than that"

It is an extremely important topic, it is the purpose of our creation, as explained clearly in the Qur’an:

“It is Allah Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof (i.e. seven). His Command descends between them (heavens and earth), that you may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah surrounds (comprehends) all things in (His) Knowledge.” 65:12

Likewise, the statement of Allaah:

“And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone).” 51:56

The first verse dealing particularly with the category of “Ruboobiyyah”. The second with the category of “Uloohiyyah”. It is a blessing from Allaah to allow us to study these categories, as how many have been misled from this understanding from the disbelievers and even from the innovated groups of the muslims.

Tawheed linguistically is to single out and make something one. 
Shirk linguistically is to make partners in something. It is the opposite of Tawheed.

The categories are 3:
1) Tawheed Ar Ruboobiyyah – To single out Allaah in His Lordship
•	To believe and know He is the Creator of all things and the One who is in control of all affairs.
2) Tawheed Al Uloohiyyah – To single out Allaah in His Worship
•	To believe that Allaah alone is the One worthy of Worship in Truth. This is the meaning of the Kalimah (Laa Illaaha Illa Allaah).
3) Tawheed Al Asmaa’ Was Sifaat – To single out Allaah in His Names and Attributes
•	To believe in everything that has come from the Qur’an and Authentic Ahadith connected to the Names and Attributes of Allaah. We affirm that which He affirms for Himself in a manner that is befitting. This means not to distort the meanings, nor render them futile, nor ask how, nor liken them to creation.

The lesson began with a recap of last weeks class, the categorisations of Tawheed into 2 and 3 and if there is any contradiction with these categorisations.

Ustaadh Abu Humay then began to explain Tawheed al-Uloohiyah, and how calling to Tawheed and warning against Shirk is from the methodology of all the prophets and messengers.

Due to the vast importance of Tawheed, it is the methodology of the people of sunnah in all times, to pay great concern in teaching tawheed.

In this Khutba Ustaadh Rayaan discusses Tawheed and the implications of Shirk.

Allah protects those that fear Him. And He guides those that He is pleased with. It is compulsory on every Muslim to understand and to apply the principles of Tawheed.

Remember, Allaah did not create us to entertain and amuse ourselves. He created mankind and the jinn to worship Him alone.

Know that every command in the Quraan to worship is a command to Tawheed.

Also, we should be aware of the dangers of Shirk, and we should master this topic and the different categories of Shirk.

Shirk spoils your worship, your actions, your good deeds and nullifies their rewards. And whoever dies upon major Shirk will be entered into the hell fire.
