Sensus is a DJ/Editor / remixer and Artist, he started to collect Soul, Funk, Disco, Hip-Hop, House & Dance as soon as he could ask for spending money, and now has a collection of over 12,000 12", several thousand LP's, and 7" and thousands of CD's.
Sensus Soul (Darren Moon) previous clubs include resident DJ at Rotherhams largest club, Tiffany's playing to crowds of 2000 plus Thursday, Friday & Saturday for 4years, Zhivagos Nottingham, playing in the 'serious dance side' for 1 Year, Isabella's Sheffield turning the club from a flop to the place to be with queues around the block. All furniture had to be removed every Friday and Saturday to accommodate the masses, 4 Years, Dfunkd Sheffield (1 Year), and now guest spots all over including the Todstock Festival (with Graeme Park and others). Darren started DJ'ing at the tender age of 10 in 1976 and is a South Yorkshire Mixing Champion.

His remixes have been played by the best in the business, and personally asked for by the likes of Danny Krivit.

Brasiliense "da gema", filho de Candangos, apreciador de música desde sempre, frequentador de festinhas nas SQS e SQN e, muito eventualmente, DJ amador nessas ocasiões. 

Ascade, Previdenciários, Clube do Exército, AABB e L'Escalier são nomes comuns na maior parte da adolescência. 

Mas os primeiros contatos ocorreram antes disso, ainda criança, vendo o irmão mais velho fazer malabarismos para sintonizar um rádio enorme, em pleno Cerrado, no famoso "Ritmos de Boate" da Rádio Mundial AM (RJ). Depois vieram os programas de Dance nas FMs Manchete, Atlântida, 105, Jornal de Brasília e Globo.

DJs "brasilienses" que teve o prazer de ouvir: Nino, Ariel, Elyvio, Celsão, Mário e Eugênio.

Recomendações: www.dancebem.net.br e Pop Rock Party (www.globofm.com.br), ambos com base no excelente trabalho do DJ carioca Rui Taveira.

O material publicado aqui e nas outras contas indicadas no início deste perfil, com ênfase na década de 80, resume aquilo que ouviu em diversos estilos dançantes.  São mais de 60 horas de audição. De hits dos fins de 1975 a releituras recentes (2012) de clássicos oitentistas, você vai ouvir Disco, Dance, House, Free Style, Black, Pop Rock, Pop Rock Brasil etc. Versões tradicionais ou remixes, algumas fáceis de achar e outras verdadeiras raridades, vários artistas e bandas. Tem um pouco de muita coisa, mas não um pouco de tudo que tocou naquele período.

Sim, tem um pouquinho de house e pop-dance contemporâneo também (quem vive só de passado é museu).

As sequências são resultado de hobby, sem fins comerciais. Mas se lhe agradam, divirta-se !

Many DJs in the industry especially younger ones have a superstar attitude, like gods of the turntables, turning each set into a show-off fest of self-importance. Nowadays it’s more about noises from a synthesiser or laptop than actual music. Wherever you go, everyone seems to be pumping out the same kind of computer-generated offering.

A good disc jockey knows his music inside out and isn’t afraid of musical instruments because that’s where real music comes from. He is comfortable with his musical heritage and not afraid to re-invent and rekindle.

I’m Mattew, an upcoming set artist based in Hayes, Middlesex with a love of old-skool vinyl classics. Nevertheless I have taken on the technology of the 21st century so I can bring my creations to your ears and hearts (even if I had to go through two laptops in the process).
