I’m excited to welcome VICENTA (https://soundcloud.com/vicente-vicenta) to the world of AFTERS for volume 9 of the Mix Series! VICENTA (all caps) is a Pittsburgh native now based in Philly, and is a recognizable figure in the east coast underground music community. Since meeting two years ago at Honcho, VICENTA has amassed an impressive record collection and crafted a unique sound for “the real speaker freakers.” 

VICENTA’s sets take the listener on an introspective journey that weaves rumbling bass and percussion with shimmery textures to build an immersive atmosphere of tension, before breaks and drops satisfyingly pierce through the sound.
