With the year 2021 coming to an end, here is my last NDYUKA podcast of the year. This mix is recorded with a rhythmic state of mind. Fast paced as usual but more emphasized to the deeper and sexy grooves. A nice mid day groovy techno set where the simplicity of the rhythmic swing and track selection is the key point of the whole mix.

In order to get a rough idea on what Jannowitz records' newest EP is all about just take a look at the title. “Breakout EP” already gives away everything you need to know. Because this EP is a real breakout EP - having three brand new artists for the label: Gayle San, GRAU and Christian Craken. 

Christian Craken runs the PHOBIA label in Bulgaria, and kindly took some of his precious time to work with “Palmetto”. It will take moment until you realize that “Palmetto” is really underneath his remix but once the catchy melody starts you will get what happened. And isn't that what a good remix is all about? Creating something new from tearing apart something already existing.

Premiere: Gayle San "Palmetto" (Christian Craken Remix) - Jannowitz Records

Modart Music bringing the 5th EP, perfectly for the days of the late summer season. 
„Come Closer“ is a melodic techno track with a massive kick and bass on the bottom. 
On top of that is a hypnotic sequence accompanied by some atmospheric pad sounds symptomatic for these days.
Ballroom producer „AlBird“ Albert Gruber gives „Come Closer“ an incredible smart interpretation on the remix side. 
A rolling deep Bassline and stripping down all the elements is the clue.
The main element in “Nylon“ is a guitar sample, accompanied by various chord sounds, rising until the break and then falling into a deep drop!
Nothing left to be desired.

It’s been a year since I released originals and since then I also gave my studio a big make-over. 
I have gone back to being more analog/hardware based in my production methods again and I guess in some ways you can hear that in this release. 
For “Damage Control” I chose 3 tracks I felt had different vibes to them.  

Psychosis carries a familiar Noir Music sound with a very in your face beat and musical message. 
Damage Control is a more groovy track build around modular synths and a filthy bass that cuts through the soundscape. 
Autophagy is a fast-paced monster with percussive intensity and FM synthesis filtering in and out through the entire journey.

  The tracks have ofcourse been roadtested and believe me even the smaller details changed a lot over time to fit my personal taste 100% After a long process I am finally happy with the tracks and ready to present “Damage Control”.
