Antonia + the Orkestra Antonia + the Orkestra is a modular orchestra with main members based between Rotterdam and Nicosia. Pushing the boundaries of Mediterranean songs, rebetika and tsimpita, the band blends traditional songs with contemporary influences, free improvisation, jazz aesthetics, warm textures of analogue electronics and sampling reaching post-folk. Led by composer-performer Antonia Kattou, the Orkestra creates new sonic ecosystems through experimentation, offering a border - crossing sound experience.
