In this edition of Local Underground RDG we are pleased to offer a classic mix from JP. This set was mixed live in 2000 on a set of Technics SL-1200MK2s during John's first semester of art school in Pittsburgh. This mix features a creative intro, followed by some wicked breakbeats that lead into  Mara's One, a Sleepfreaks mix, and a brutally tribal track from Xzique, before landing in the sweet sounds of 2000 era Sarah McLachlan, a key staple in any respectable record crate from that time period. From there, JP takes us on a journey through a host of deep and driving breakbeats and progressive house. What comes as no surprise to anyone who has heard JP mix is the fact that this mix is clean and crisp, with beats that stay locked for days. This guy can mix four records simultaneously for 10 minutes, without a slip, I really believe it.  On top of that, John can always be counted on to provide a sophisticated track selection, and an artful program. Thank you John for your  fine ear and keen mixing.
