 A dark and twisted evil swept over the hills and down upon the great City of Weird, targeting those individuals who live there lives for the bass. Thousands of people were thrown into pandamonium as the dark fog drew closer and closer.

Just as the Weirdonians were certain their lives would be forever changed for the worst, a flash of light streaked across the sky and a hero emerged in front of the fog. Immediately the hero put both hands out in front of him, and bursts of energy shot out of his hands summoning a set of blue and silver turntables. These weren't just ordinary turntables though, no, these were magic turntables. The hero started spinning and turning, magical auras flying everywhere, filling the city with magical electro-house. The evil fog then began to fizzle out as the magical bass destroyed the evil fog for good.

The City of Weird was saved! Suddenly the hero took flight, and did a hover over the city for security purposes. The citizens of Weird noticed his name across his chest, and began chanting throughout the streets, "Saltz! Saltz! Saltz! Saltz!"


Staggersaur is the bizarre story of a creature on a breakbeat mission to learn the exotic dance moves of all the world’s animals. Cooked up and served by Tasmanian multi-instrumentalist Hayato, every Staggersaur set is a funky hotpot full of crunchy beats, milky pads and squiggly basses.

Bop repository for that which is obscure, groovy, cathartic and occasionally strange. Purveyor of disco experiences. House in the streets, indie in the sheets. 

I dig iteration, nostalgia and the beat. Prone to infection. Show appreciation for the sustenance artists provide. It's necessity, not luxury. Go to a show. Buy a shirt.

First hitting the DC music scene in 2019 as the founder of the groovy District Inferno party series, Jon Charles soon found himself in the booth showcasing his love for House and Disco music. He refuses to limit himself to any one genre or style, blending House, Disco, Afro House, Minimal, Indie Dance, and more into his carefully curated sets.

His genre-bending approach to DJing has afforded him the opportunity to perform alongside a variety of artists and DJs, including Chloé Caillet, Chromeo, Quantic, SG Lewis, Dastan, Roosevelt, Treasure Fingers and Satin Jackets, at venues such as DC’s world-renowned Flash, the historic Howard Theatre, Seattle’s extravagant Supernova, and Brooklyn’s lively late-night watering hole, PonyBoy.
