A budding French artist, @elonskum, formerly known as Txbck, is about to release a 4-track EP on the 28th of March. Entitled 'Getting Started', the EP will be available on all streaming platforms and Bandcamp, with a limited print-run signed by the artist himself.Our premiere today, called ‘Fires’, is remixed by Dave N.A. CREAM SODA | STVOL.TV: НОВОГОДНЕЕ ЗАСТВОЛЬЕ 2024

This tribute release was created in memory of Dima Nova, Roma Svirgunov, Gosh Kiselyov, and Aristarkh Ukhtomsky, who tragically died a year ago. The album features over 20 electronic music compositions recorded by STVOL label residents, friends, and colleagues, capturing their history through music. The release includes tracks created with Dima, remixes as a tribute to the band CREAM SODA for their contribution to the revival of pop music, a new interpretation of the single 'Volga,' collaborative songs with Golden8oi, Aristarkh's demos, and an endless quintessence of feelings and emotions from love to loss.

Dima Nova was a co-founder of the Russian electronic group CREAM SODA, known for hits like 'Никаких Больше Вечеринок' and 'Плачу на Техно.' He was one of the pioneers of the new wave of Russian electro-punk and also one of the creators of the label STVOL and the clothing brand PUBLIKA GAULTIER. He tragically passed away with his friends on March 20, 2023.

The streaming & vinyl revenues will be allocated to the families of the deceased.

A few weeks ago, Spice Mixers invited me to play on their curated episode for Ärger's radio show at res.radio. 

So I used the opportunity to showcase a different side of South America's rich music scene. Here is a 45-minute mix featuring post-punk, atmospheric, broken beat, and experimental music mostly from Brazil, Chile, Argentina, and some beyond.

Thank you for giving me the space and artistic freedom to amplify a more nuanced side of my beloved region. I hope this set speaks to you at some level.

About the picture: "O Brasil é o meu abismo" (Brazil is my abyss) is part of a performance first carried out in 1982 by Daniel Santiago, a pioneering Brazilian conceptual artist from Pernambuco. 

The original performance consisted of Santiago hanging upside down, suspended by his ankle, while holding a poster with the phrase "O Brasil é o meu abismo." The act was a visual metaphor for the artist's complex relationship with his country, which was then under a military dictatorship.

As a democracy built on impunity and a nation born from colonial oppression and genocide of indigenous populations, Brazil remains my home. Yet, it will always be my abyss - a complex, challenging, and profound source of inspiration and introspection.

If you haven't been paying attention to Alberta, CA's HomeSick, now is the time to shape up. For years, he's been consistently releasing some of the most unique productions across the spectrum of jungle, juke/footwork, bass music beats, DnB, and some other stuff that, to be quite honest, we're not really even sure what to call. He's a Red Bull Music Academy Alum, class of 2015 (they also notably referred to him as a "footwork savant"), he's toured all over the world, including a recent jaunt to China, and his tracks have garnered support from some of the best in the game, including folks like Om Unit and DJ Craze. 

Today's premiere comes in the form of HomeSick's most recent single entitled "Amplive", a growling hip hop beat that draws as much influence from the likes of heavier bass music artists like EPROM as it does from instrumental beatmakers like J Dilla, Madvillain, and Flying Lotus. We could see this easily landing on Alix Perez's 1985 Music just as easily as Brainfeeder Records. The intro is a building cacophony of analog bass synthesization that peaks in a "break your neck" type beat that would have even the most unwilling of listeners nodding their head along. The track ultimately develops into a lush soundscape of beautiful melody all while retaining the wonky syncopated drum pattern that defined the track in the first place. We're left feeling a deep sense of satisfaction after listening to this track, and we think you will too. Without further ado, we're proud to present the premiere of HomeSick - Amplive, forthcoming via self release here on February 28, 2020 (available for pre-order now).

PRODUCTION MIX FOR JOY O - 01/02/2021

In 2025, Amy moves with significant momentum, having released 'IYP' on Sam Binga's recent 'Club Orthodontics' mixtape, her remix of ‘From The Back’ for Ron Mercy on Moveltraxx, and remix of ‘The Page’ for Om Unit and James Bangura on Local Action. She also announces her return to Outlook Festival and Boomtown Festival, and her debut at Glastonbury Festival and We Out Here Festival. All of which follows a productive period in which she released 'The Squeeeze' and 'Verb Works', both EP's under Sam Binga's Pineapple Records label. These works received notable support from prominent artists such as LCY, Stingray, Jossy Mitsu, Tom Ravenscroft, Hudson Mohawke, I. Jordan, Miley Serious, and more.

Since her return to the UK Amy has had continued success as a DJ, producer, and singer. With releases such as her remix for Sister Zo & Sam Binga 'Chop Dat’, remix for Om Units 'Strange Brew', vocal feature on Oliver Yorke’s 'Touch' (CNVX), and her own SWU FM residency with guests such as The Librarian, Niknak, Mantra, Sweetpea, Ayyden and Sister Zo.
