Alcoholidays are a garage rock band from Darlington who play songs about love, excess, and the pitfalls of a seemingly never ending existence in a northern town with little culture and even less excitement. Our music is influenced by the psychedelic blues of the sixties, the escapist British rock n roll of the nineties, the restless, seretonin-soaked indie of the eighties and everything in between - if it makes us feel better, we'll play it. 

Formed in 2008, they gained a cult local following through internet'distributed demo's and incendiary live performances. After a two years hiatus the band have reformed with an even stronger line up, and are touring venues across country promoting their forthcoming record.

Experimental dance music

ako (Simeon Soden) infuses influences from obscure elements of electronic & dance music, including vaporwave & witchhouse, with experimental IDM. When performing, ako creates AV experiences using VHS, CGI & modified games consoles. He has released music on Sunset grid (Aus.), SPRIX (USA), N-aut, Nothing but, HOT-Q & Kaneda Records and has been played on BBC6 Music.
