Zoids

I started to write this tune... on June 4th 2018. I didn't remember that, honestly, and it's really odd because today it's June 3rd 2020.
At that time Atlantis was planning to do a demo for the Datastorm 2018. I think we had already come up with the theme and (as far as I remember) I was asked to write a tune. I finished it on July 22nd. I don't remember much about the composing process, except that it was painfully hard because the tune is one of the longest I've ever written.

it's made up of 2 parts. The 2nd part is a sort of tribute to one of my favourite bands. In fact I wrote two solos that were meant to sound as if the soloists of the band had played them. Of course they would have played much better solos than the ones I wrote... :)

In the end the tune was not used for the demo and remained sealed in our vaults... Until recently, when Doc Science asked me if we could use it for the scroller he was coding for the "Most Unreadable Scrolltext Scroller Compo (Mibri Edition)". He showed me the scroller and it was really amazing! That's why I asked him if I could write a new tune. Actually I never liked my "Datastorm" tune very much, maybe because it was too dark and gloomy (it was made on purpose, though), so my new tune turned out to be a quite merry one... maybe more suitable for a shoot'em up game than for Doc's scroller... :D

So finally we decided (and I must thank Doc Science for that!) to keep the old tune, which fits much better!
