Originally formed in the unrelenting heat of Corpus Christi, TX, Wailin’ Storms migrated east and ended up in Durham, NC (with only slightly less relenting heat). They began collaborating with members of Bats and Mice, The Mercators, and Romero to release their second EP Shiver in January. The band defies easy categorization, mixing doom-punk and swampy rock with nods to Scratch Acid and Samhain. The songs on Shiver are dark and gritty, with incisive guitar slicing through heavy, churning rhythms. Lead singer Justin Storms howls convincingly amongst the cacophony, belting along as if he’s looking to recruit others to join in with him at any moment.




I tend to turn to mini electronic ambient edm with old audio from where ever  I can find them. I think of these as intrusive thoughts with a touch of thought stops. Simply another facet in my exploration of music and myself as a musician.  This seems like a good place to keep them stored, as well to share.
