It's always a pleasure to hear some diversity in Dub Techno moods and grooves and those in abundance with this set. Blurb.....Andy has been collecting electronic music and dancing into the mornings since the late 80s.  He's the ears and energy behind Verdant Recordings, a label supporting diverse music from new and established producers since 2016.  Latterly he teamed up with Jamie Exalt for their Vertex side project.   When "Overcast" from the forthcoming Rain on Window EP by Havantepe left a notable impression on the Real Techno group, Andy offered to record a set around this flavour of  techno - a sweet spot for his tastes in deeper sounds.  As Ulf & Ralf with a close friend, he's been dabbling with some productions and they contribute a remix on the Havantepe EP alongside Stojche.

Paul Bowen and Mark Graham - 2 smoggie-land lads who are key figures in the North East's music scene - set this night up. Doblar they called it. They said Levon Vincent was playing too. Did I want to play there? Of course I fucking did!!!

A truly sick night in Middlesbrough's "Medicine Bar" on Corporation Street was had by all, and this DJ Mix of mine was recorded live on the night! 22:40-00:20 :)

I also love all kinds of eclectic stuff including disco, boogie, Italo, synth pop, nu jazz, jazzdance, lounge, trip-hop, downtempo, dub, reggae, jungle, liquid drum & bass, IDM, electronica, Warp, Ninja Tune etc.

In summer 2013 I set up the Avenue Red (@avenue-red) imprint to push quality material from a wide plethora of DJs and artists who I have particular respect for in terms of their musical output, artistry and dedication to the cause.
