A mix of house records that make me imagine:

1 - Wiseguy-types in American casinos in the 1970's who wore big round mirror shades with white flairs and loose shirts, had big afros and drank those cocktails with little umbrellas sticking out of the top of martini glasses.

2 - '70s And '80s American Musclecars and Hot-rods, generally with flames painted on the side.

These records will not necessarily counjure up the same imagery in your mind, so please do not attempt to have me sectioned if you can't understand the connection with the vibes in these records! Bye ;)

I also love all kinds of eclectic stuff including disco, boogie, Italo, synth pop, nu jazz, jazzdance, lounge, trip-hop, downtempo, dub, reggae, jungle, liquid drum & bass, IDM, electronica, Warp, Ninja Tune etc.

In summer 2013 I set up the Avenue Red (@avenue-red) imprint to push quality material from a wide plethora of DJs and artists who I have particular respect for in terms of their musical output, artistry and dedication to the cause.
