Based in Marseille, born and raised on Switzerland border, french DJ/Producer Kriss Life Recorder has been moving and drawing his own signature since some time on the international scene with influences known to be rooted into the 90’ies and early 2000  sound and culture of Detroit, Chicago  house and techno music mixed with his European background.
Recognized for his « deep » house-techno sound, since his release on Keith Worthy’s Detroit label « Aesthetic Audio » back in 2012 , Kriss has since then, been constantly expressing, travelling between both genres and atmospheres, moving forward and finding his way through his musical vision which gave releases on labels like « Bokhari » « Appian Sound », « Grounded In Humanity » or « Hizou Deep Rooted »  to name a few aside of Dj gigs in Europe and more with stops at Tresor Berlin, Night Moves London (Jane Fitz & Jade Seatle party), Belgrade, Mallorca, and more recently in Georgia and Armenia. In the meantime Kriss has been also working on his local scene with the collective/record shop, Extend & Play.

In 2017 Life Recorder took new steps, focused on the birth of his label «Life Notes Recordings» releasing 4 ep’s and still going. 
Then in 2020 Swiss masters Alex and Steph Attias released his « Time Moods » Ep on their  respected « Visions Recordings », which has been getting support from legends and inspirations like Ron Trent or DJ Deep.

"In my new mix I wanted to create a fitting combination of dub and dreamy tracks with funky influences. I use a lot of tracks that have just been released, but also tracks that have been in my record case for years and are always special to me. I had a nice lazy, buzzy Sunday and recorded an impromptu mix. I was looking out of my window as I was preparing things, then saw a Hang Glider or a Microlight in the dusky sky after cueing the first record. Quite low too! It set the scene... I then went through a box of deep house/techno records chosen for a gig 2 or 3 months prior. Good to blow the dust off before it settles, right?

I also love all kinds of eclectic stuff including disco, boogie, Italo, synth pop, nu jazz, jazzdance, lounge, trip-hop, downtempo, dub, reggae, jungle, liquid drum & bass, IDM, electronica, Warp, Ninja Tune etc.

In summer 2013 I set up the Avenue Red (@avenue-red) imprint to push quality material from a wide plethora of DJs and artists who I have particular respect for in terms of their musical output, artistry and dedication to the cause.
