Lee Renacre’s Phat Girl EP was originally released in 1996, boasting four seriously groovy techno cuts emblematic of those times. It is Lee’s first solo release and it came out on his own Format Records, which was started the same year. While back then you could probably buy it as a white label from the back of his car, you can now finally get it as a reissue.  

Physical Education is @Baldo 's new label, coming in strong with this as the first release, and one of the many upcoming must have tech house/techno classics.

I like mixing old sounds with new ones, the evocation of dreams, the infinity of outer space, the language where the unsaid is what is being said.

[Artist Bio]
Shampoo Douglas is an artistic project by Ruben Lombroso and Alexander Folonari, two brothers on a mission from Kepler66. 

Ruben, currently based in Turin, is a sound artist, composer and performer graduated at the Institute of Sonology at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague (NL). Synthesizer enthusiast & record collector, he has brought his electro-acoustic work around several European festivals and concert halls. 

Later he devoted himself to explore and study rhythm based music, going back to his roots, drawing inspiration from early hip hop, proto house and the French techno rave scene. Alongside he keep composing music for theatre, videos and movies while teaching workshops on sound synthesis.

Alexander, born of Italo-German descent, currently based in Berlin, is an interdisciplinary artist, musician, composer, producer and engineer, with a degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail University in Orlando(FL). 

For over 12 years he has been dedicated to the research and development of inter-disciplinary art forms, with a strong foundation in dance and body music, but in no way confined by the traditional norms and methods for creating music.

He has since explored a variety of sonic palettes, and continues in his endeavour for discovering strange and unknown territories as well as traditional and classic approaches to the arts.

Through the ancient art of sound alchemy, the Douglas brothers present mixtures of cosmic funk, astral grooves and deep wonky sonic voyages for every kind of soul. 

They released music on various imprints such as Pager Records, Pluie/Noire Recordings, Secret Society Chile and Lemak Records and performed all over Europe, from Hoppetosse, OHM, Club Der Visionaere(Berlin), Robert Johnson(Frankfurt) and many others. 

Shampoo Douglas performs mostly live using a Laptop and a modular synth, blending studio prepared material with highly improvised gestures. In 2020, researching a new artistic environment, they joined the Berlin based artistic collective and booking agency @ringsofneptune to share creative thinking and sustainable growth.
